Cinthie’s we_r house imprint returns with its twelfth release, coming courtesy of BMW aka Christian Burkhardt, Meat and Chris Wood.

Over the past few years Cinthie’s we_r house has played host to material from the likes of Kevin Over, Manuold, Elgo Blanco and Simon Shaw to name a few, the imprint continues to push house sounds with a stripped-back, groove driven inclination. Here this continues in fine form with German trio Burkhardt, Meat and Wood under their collective BMW guise.
Leading the release is ‘Last Order’, laid out over seven minutes with snaking bass grooves, crunchy glitched out percussion and bubbling dubbed out synth plucks. ‘Morning Melodie’ follows, a gritty acid laced workout perfectly crafter for early dance floor moments.
‘Threeothree’ follows next on the b-side, bringing bumpy drums, resonant bleeps and ghostly resonant synths into the forefront while hazy chords and tripped-out spoken word vocals wind within the composition. ‘Corönchen’ then wraps up the package, winding things down on a deeper tip via fluttering synths, airy stab sequences and bright string lines atop intricately crafted percussion and a rounded sub bass line.

Music lover, Mahar started his journey as a DJ then as a Producer. Over the years, Mahar went through mixing different genres of House Music, with phases going from Tech House to Progressive, Deep House and Minimal. At the end of 2019, Mahar mainly focused on developing his production skills and was able to make a small production studio in his apartment with all the equipment he needed to get started.

In 2021, Mahar joined SHUVT.Resonance crew, a UK-based label he discovered via Soundcloud:, Appreciative of his work, SHUVT.Resonance decided to sign his first record label contract. Magnetism is Mahar’s debut EP, released in March 2021, with 4 varied tracks taking you from the chill deep to floor shaking minimal house vibes of 3am dance-floors. His main track of this EP, Velocity, got a Premiere on Trommel, well-known online electronic music magazine and sharing platform. His track Velocity was appreciated by artists such as Paolo Rocco, Luuk Van Dijk and Lola Palmer.

Later on in June 2021, Mahar added a new track to his discography called Bridging. This one is a collaboration with his friend, Montreal based Producer & DJ, Mehdi Sabir, on his debut EP-Timeless Truth. The blending of their styles made this track something special to hear. In October 2021, Mahar released his second solo EP with SHUVT.Resonance. This 4 track EP was aligned with the label’s vision, looking for sounds that are « surveying the cosmos for the minimal and the deep ''.
Most recently, Mahar’s latest release at the end of February 2022, marking his 10th track with the UK-based label. His track, « Never Over » got a Premiere on House Six’s Youtube channel, allowing him to have a better reach for his music. He’s been developing a true signature style over the last year with every track having distinctly recognizable elements.

In the Montreal scene Mahar has played at the Velvet, Name’s/Gypsy and will be playing at the end of March 2022 at Salon Daomé if you want to catch him.

For this Kinetic podcast, Mahar prepared a 1-hour set with some groovy, high energetic & eclectic sounds, showing you his wide range of musical interest and what he likes to play other than his production style!

Pavel Iudin - Framework EP

Pavel Iudin is back on Poker Flat Wax with a new the killer four-track EP pressed on green and white vinyl.

Inspired by an industrial, technoid vibe reminiscent of Iudin growing up in a city surround by metallurgical industry, the title track 'Framework' is a slinky, crafty burner, built around an irresistible groove. Iudin keeps the extras to a minimum, letting the balance of a few key elements become the track's strength.

'Echelon' works around a tightly woven drum sample before opening up with some beautiful Access Virus synth effects.

'Dummy' is an exercise in restrained deepness - the track has a submerged quality that could work on many dance floors.

Last up is 'Automotive' - another groove driven cut that uses a minimum of elements without ever feeling minimal - sign of a producer fully in control of his craft.

"Automotive', says Iudin "is in contrast with my other records. I used sounds that are not typical for myself and they led me to something new. Perhaps this is a continuation of my previous track Dubrawa. I was also inspired by the idea of the raw and dubby Wax Only series, using simple patterns and sounds."
