It was long overdue but we’re excited to finally present you the next episode of the Reels podcast series! Behind the wheels of steel this time is Sebastian Rebig, a true house music lover and proper vinyl junkie who owns more than 9000 records. Sebastian hails from Mönchengladbach (in the famous Ruhr region) and has been playing since 2000 in various locations around Germany. He has caught the ears of many passionate listeners, including Session Victim who have since then invited Sebastian to spin at some of their parties. Thanks to his record selection, deejaying skills and deep knowledge of music, Sebastian Rebig is the perfect example of a „DJ’s DJ“.

Reels 6 is vintage Rebig: a faultless collection of forgotten house classics from Mood II Swing or Black Science Orchestra blended with contemporary heaters from Fresh & Low or Moomin. Anna Schreit is a Berlin-born DJ and producer known for sets that cut across genres with a mix of groove, grit, and edge. Growing up in a musical household – her father the frontman of East Germany’s cult art-rock band Stern Combo Meissen – music was never just background. For Anna, it was a way to make sense of things.

Raised in the middle of Berlin’s techno scene, it wasn’t until a night out in Munich that things really clicked: a chance encounter with house music lit the fuse. The rhythm, the warmth – it stuck. From there, she dove deep into sound.

Since 2012, she’s been building sets that go beyond the obvious. From sunrise slots at Sisyphos, to stripped-back live streams on HÖR or The Lot Radio, to records like her Duck EP on Compost, Anna brings a sound that’s raw, grounded, and unmistakably her.

One highlight: her ARTE Concerts set – a moment that took her sound to a wider audience without losing its edge. As a resident at Sisyphos, she’s become a steady presence in Berlin’s underground – not chasing trends, just playing with intent.

You might know Ben Evers from Adana Twins – but this one's all him. Stepping out solo, he’s dialled in a sound that hits hard and stays with you. His remix? A peak-time weapon. Tight arrangement, proper weight, and a sonic punch that could rattle the mainstage. Every detail locked in – made for the floor, no fillers.

Otherwise Records presents “Stop That Record, And Rewind That!”, the latest EP by DJ, producer, and label manager Fran Bortolossi. Featuring 3 original tracks — “Stop That Record,And Rewind That!”, “Music All Night Long” and “Don’t Do It” — the release navigates the intersection of Indie Dance and Nu Disco, where arrangement choices push the tension between memory and motion, the dancefloor and immersive listening.

The title track builds around vocal cuts that operate like rhythmic triggers, layered over modulated basslines and spacious percussion in a structure that nods to the past without falling into nostalgia. “Music All Night Long” leans into a looser, more fluid framework, led by textures reminiscent of early Daft Punk — channeling club hedonism with restraint. Closing the EP, “Don’t Do It” takes a more direct route, fusing groove and harmonic fragments, anchored by a filtered vocal that emerges with a confessional tone.

With this release, Fran Bortolossi continues to refine his sonic language — one rooted in deliberate timbral choices and structures that emphasize internal movement. Stop That Record, And Rewind That! sits within the Otherwise catalog as a contemporary reading of the dialogue between form and function, expanding the ways sound can inhabit space with clarity and control.

"You Make Me Feel" was the first outtake from Steve Bug's second Poker Flat album "Sensual". Slowly but unmistakebly building up a hypnotic groove with a rolling percussion loop, ice-cold snare and hollering vocal (reminiscent of Gainsbourg's "Bonny and Clyde"), Bug forces you flashing your sharpest dancing routines even before he throws in that distorted, take-no-prisoners, Saunderson-style organ-bassline. Flip over for another version that's served up straightened-out and stripped down yet still manages to come up with a higher percentage of FUNK. Another totally satisfying five star menu for the Poker Flat gourmet.

Stefan Braatz (@stefan-braatz) has been making acid- tinged house music for a number of years, not least on his own Adapter Records imprint.
 
Mon Amour is his first release on Poker Flat Recordings, and sees the German label boss, DJ and producer team up with the legendary Eric D. Clark (@eric-d-clark) on the killer lead track - joined by three perfectly curated remixes and a new production - Trust.

Mon Amour sees guest vocalist Eric D. Clark providing his iconic vocals over a slick, deep rolling house track -Eric switches effortlessly between English and French, while Stefan gets deep inside his production voodoo to deliver a sure  fire bomb. Additionally presented here in its instrumental version. 

Also present here is And.ID’s Live Remix which brings a new dimension to the track - a live analog machine jam and feels both lose and supremely controlled at the same time. Vocals are kept to a minimum and rising synths break the tension occasionally - definitely one for the basements.
