Cult Berlin mix engineer, live act and producer Hannes Bieger returns to Poker Flat Recordings for the first time since his 2019 smash 'Chemistry'. Bieger matches his studio mastery with an innate sense of what the dancefloor needs, and has made significant impact in the scene with releases on the likes of Bedrock and Awesome Soundwave. Here, he brings two stunning new tracks to the surface via The Heart EP.

The title track features the unmistakable vocals of Ursula Rucker - the poet, activist and vocalist from Philadelphia who had graced some truly classic records over the past 2 decades. Bieger provides a slinky, deceptive groove for Rucker to deliver her iconic vocals.

'Santorin' is an even deeper cut, showcasing Bieger’s deft production via an infectious groove, rolling bass and beautifully restrained modular flourishes.

Poker Flat Recordings keeps up its prodigious release schedule with another superb EP - this time by scene statesmen Gorge and Markus Homm. Gorge (aka Pit Waldmann) is the co-owner of 8bit Records, originally from Mannheim and has carved a singular niche for himself over the past 20-odd years. Similarly. Markus Homm has been deeply influential in developing the scene in his native Romania, and is now working alongside the Poker Flat regular Mihai Popoviciu.

With this EP Gorge and Markus Homm have merged their many talents and honed two tracks of depth and weight. 'Holos' is a tightly wound slice of superior tech house, textured and layered with lush chords and a thick lower end.

'Glint' also showcases the duo's mutual understanding of the dynamics of the dance floor - a slick groove is enhanced and expanded via subtle and effective melodic elements, including a pinch of acidic 303 sounds.

2016 has already been a stellar year for UJR with 36 amazing releases - and we are proud to present the next in our serious.

Evans starts our Spring with a 2 track EP. 
The name sake track and first release of the album Pluto Minus One is a sensual deep techno track, carefully layered and intelligently constructed, creating a rich sound.

Luis Leon Re-Encounter of this track builds on this deep, sensual feeling keeping many of the original pieces but adding rhythm and movement to the track creating a more dance floor friendly vibe, while maintining the lush feel of the original.

On the final track SPSS, Evans shows that he’s not just romantic and drives up the intensity with a more driving, slightly darker techno inspired track that rounds out this moody EP and leaves us inspired for a fantastic night!

Premiere: Yubik - Dragun [Stil Vor Talent]

Sounom released on Cinematique before but not yet with his partner in crime Sagou. That's about to change with their first EP on Cinematique.

The friendly guys are well known from their combined and solo work on Manual Music/MNL and from their residency shows on HeavensGate Deep. With their trademark progressive style they know how to make people dance and let them escape their daily lifes. That's why we instantly fell in love with the contagious sounds of 'Grounded'. With a great hook this one got lots of dance floor potential. 'Supermassive' is more of an early morning proggy adventure which makes you float away from reality.

This EP is completed by two excellent remixes. The title track is reworked by our German friends of Boss Axis. They never fail to deliver a melodic techno bomb. And last but not least, MR.MNT took on the remix job of 'Supermassive' and turned it into a tearful emotive track.

There must be something in the water in Luzern, the town that label regular Khainz calls home. The Swiss producer has been churning out tremendous, polished dancefloor bombs for over a decade, and this effort has culminated in his third studio album and first since 2012: Fingerprint, out on @yoshitoshi on June 28th, 2019.

If you've heard Khainz's music, you know his tracks are equal parts heavy groove and brilliant sound design. Fingerprint shows the scope of Khainz's skills with track after track of heavy, club-focused composition that flirts with both delicate, beautiful melodies and savage techno sounds. We are super happy to present to you third and a final remix of BANDO's track 'Tranquil'. This one by someone we have been watching for a while now, being nothing short of blown away by his little videos where he is always dropping the catchiest, grooviest sick tunes.
