Cryptic Ways - La Nuit Froide [DBRVA008]

It’s peak Saturday night. Lasers, smoke, hazy dreams and perfectly tuned F1’s, even the trees are buzzing. The forest knows. Knows that a Japanese techno sensei is secretly entering Varden at 02:30 in the cover of darkness.

DOLTZ is a surprise, and not listed in the program. He comes in with an ambient, almost psychedelic sound. Then slowly layering of all the little sounds that circle around the main beat, letting tension build, balancing experimental and driving techno. There are no sudden drops, but periods of pulling back before reintroducing energy to the dance floor.

DOLTZ took us with him into what felt like a wormhole. The beat held us steady, but everything around it was spinning, stretching, and folding in on itself. The reactions from the Monument family were as different as they were similar. Some were jumping, some were shaking, others were dancing pirouettes, moving slowly, or standing still. At times, it was like being inside a centrifuge or a washing machine. Not dizzy, but surrounded, as if the sound pressed against the body. His set was a physical experience: immersive, disorienting, yet weirdly grounding at the same time. 

Friends, step into the rocketship and journey through the wormhole once again. Return to Doltz at Varden. The techno gods were smiling from ear to ear that night.

On the third night of rural, OCCA delivered a truly "unconventional" set.

With IDM-oriented, programmatic techno sounds, trance-infused half-step rhythms, and moments of pure psychedelia woven throughout, his performance turned the night into something close to a special ritual.

Hedström & Pflug - Space Thinking EP (Remixes by Marcal & ORBE) [HP004] previews

The eighth installment on UVALL explores transformation through four distinct sonic states. It opens with a layered, modulation-driven piece interwoven with a political address that slowly merges into the soundscape. Two forceful club cuts form the EP’s core, each pushing tension and momentum in their own direction. The final track turns inward, driven by a steady pulse and warped synth motion. Altered States presents a concise yet immersive study of shifting rhythm and perception.

We are thrilled to share Mary Yuzovskaya's set recorded live from Monument Festival 2025 as part of our MNMT 500 celebrations.

Mary Yuzovskaya runs her set like an old but reliable steam engine locomotive. Except this train is going to Hogwarts. Mary is a responsible conductor, making sure everyone is on board, getting their bodies going at a steady pace, warming up the system for what's to come. Later.

Her sound lives in a hypnotic but assertive space. The hypnotic part comes from steady patterns that loop and settle into the body. Rhythms that repeat long enough to quiet the thinking mind. You are not distracted by constant changes. The groove stays in place and draws you in through consistency.

The whole Monument family is dancing in sync. Looking as good as ever. High in energy and anticipation. And then. The sky opens. But, we have our best lasers ON, saved for this occasion, saturday night, they weren't used on friday at all, and when the pouring rain hits the upgraded lasers, we have a million diamonds falling towards us. The crowd roars. Celebrates what nature throws at us. Surrenders to its will. No one left the dancefloor to seek refuge in their tents. No one. Mary Yuzovskaya responds...

If you were there, you know that this was the start to what can only be described as the Champions League of festival night shifts. With Yuzovskaya, Pacho and Doltz seemingly playing one after another. Mary’s job was to get the crowd going, but at the same time leave room for more. She delivered.
