The raw reaction to move your body along to a rhythm, combined with the unified energy of everyone else doing it around you totally elevates the experience and makes you connect with complete strangers in an amazing way. It’s a universal language that everyone can speak.

Coming out of Malmö, Sweden Bolam has been churning out an exciting array of productions in recent years. From slamming slices of breaks-infused electro to bass-driven club edits he has built a varied-yet-focused collection of tracks, releasing on various labels such as Lobster Theramin and Hâws alongside highly regarded vinyl releases on Space Dust, a newly launched sub-label of Alien Communications. Fo his POLAR mix he has delivered a clean blend showcasing his current taste working through an hour of rolling-house and minimal tracks, then onto a burst of broken energy pumped into modern club bangers.

A solid 1hr30min expedition into slower tempos. - keeping it acid, trancey, breakbeat and percussive. Lots of trippy enchanting tracks that show the slower side to the current trance revival wave happening at the mo!  Setting off around 90bpm and finish at 115bpm. Slower speeds means more time between the beats for interesting stuff ;) Including recent releases such as Monir's sick 100bpm number from his new EP on MELD (https://soundcloud.com/meld_scotland/monir-still-running-previews), and a couple WIPs from me!

What does dancing mean to you?

" So look I grew up in the Techno scene and what I experienced and won’t miss are hours and hours of excessive dancing, sweating and stress-relief. Berlin Techno was very inspiring in that sense. I am talking about some warehouse moments when I was dancing in the stroboscope light, smoke machine and darkness - and for hours. My god.  Dancing is actually creating one of the paradoxes we live in - together and alone. Dancing is so important to reconnect to our intuition and our bodies. It’s essential to keep our minds healthy. And every step counter will get crazy on how many steps you make in an hour. hahahah "

Panda Lassow is a DJ and producer coming out of Dresden and most recently based in Rotterdam where she had the pleasure of releasing on @iamcarista label @weareunitedidentities. As a DJ she plays music from every corner of the globe, where she tries to not take things to seriously and let her set flow naturally rather than focusing on smooth transitions.

For us, she delivers a diverse two-hour journey through her record collection. Covering a medley of soundscapes and emotions, she provides glimpses of the various energies she could invoke on the dancefloor.
