I've been slowly chipping away at the next HardSpeed album. There's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes with this project which I can't share. For now, what I can share is this track! Verse always regretted opening up her pocket watch at times like these, but it sometimes numbed things better than the alcohol. It was nice to imagine a world that hadn't changed -- one where her father hadn't ridden off into the sunset, and where her mother hadn't drank herself off a cliff. A world where the two of them had a normal little boy with orange fur like foxes were supposed to have -- a boy with two eyes, and a life ahead of him. She looked past the pocket watch, at the dusty house. It was falling apart, but the same photograph still sat on the mantle, underneath the spot where her father's gun and her mother's sword had hung once. The photo and the watch wouldn't tell her how old she was, or why she didn't remember many of the years between the photograph and now, but somehow, she'd felt they would.

I accidentally found the fundamental drum loop used in the original track last night while going through my sample library (X-Static Goldmine, by the way). Decided to go and make a cover of a track that's been a part of my life for a very long time. Enjoy!

I don't think I'm going to touch another song cover in a while, this was a good chunk of work for me! But, ultimately, I had a lot of fun. Don't know if I've done justice to the original or not, but I don't really care. This is the take of it I heard in my mind, and that's what I wanted to make.

Oh hey, some Elancia chronicles music! This is another take on one of the themes from the second Elancia Chronicles album. A certain revelation near the end of the book re contextualizes everything that came before it. 

Verse has to deal with disasters both natural and supernatural while dealing with what's going on with her head, and the new friends by her side (well... 'friends' in some cases.) She got her happy ending, but it isn't what she expected, and her story is only just beginning.   

I did this as a homage to Soundteam JDK who work on the Falcom games. I'm absolutely in love with the Trails in the Sky series, and wanted to do something in that style for the Elancia Chronicles series. Anyway, enough outta me! Enjoy!

After a *six year* hiatus, I'm back at my usual nonsense. Here's a collection of dumb, jazz/funk, chiptune-esque tracks created using a variety of different samples and sound chips (I've labelled where appropriate).

I've taken a less purist approach this time around (compared to 4000AD) and just had some fun.
