I started this last winter in a burst of inspiration and then abandoned it till this summer, rediscovering it and my drive to complete electronic music.

"Independence" marks my first completed track in Ableton Live since my switch from Logic Pro in March. Switching was a choice I'll never regret! There's so much more where this came from down the line :)

This track for me embodies the process of coming of age as a teenager, and the transition in that process. Parts of this track were meant to feel like a conversation between voices, people, and ideas, relating to Independence.
