I have thought about this song for such a long time. I wanted to write something that wasn’t just another song, but something that gave you hope.
This is the song you play when you suddenly doubt yourself. It’s the song you play for courage to walk away from something or someone. 
It’s the song you play at night when you are alone with your thoughts, and the voice in your head casts doubt on your most difficult decision.

I enjoyed creating this beat from scratch and continued to add to it over the course of several weeks. I used a combination of synths over the beat and added the guitar, mixing in some bluesy polish from my new pedalboard. A combination of EVH phaser and JHS 424 gain stage, mixed with a Boss IR-2 clean tone. Lyrically, talking about transcending from rain running into olive trees, descending into the clouds, and playing a ukulele. The ringing bell tone served as the foundation for the song, accompanied by the chords. It’s up there on my strange meter; I had to share it immediately. You know how those morning runs always start out kind of difficult until you get into that pace and experience the runner's high. That’s how I feel about this song.
