The first mix from the special Snippcast series for a new compilation of Snippets Music called "Reflection Lines" was recorded by UK artist - Corbi. Member of the Melon Bomb project and co-owner of the Fina Records label, who celebrating tenth anniversary this year and where was released music from Mic Newman, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Guy Andrews, Powel, Ponty Mython, Jad & The and many others.

The initial passage of RoP into existence took place with its members scattered between Ljubljana and Rotterdam. Naturally, we consider them both home turf, and a healthy and frequent cultural exchange between the two as the honorary objective. The foundation stone in the frequency of Eardrop 02 is at last laid by our good friend Yutte, a seasoned ‘nultien’ selector and a co-founder of Enter the System crew, existing in the cross-section of music, photography, and cinema. ASC007 is here! We couldn’t be more excited to invite Shiraz onto the Ascension imprint with the ‘Earthling EP’. This EP is composed with 4 deep, dark, tech-house rollers featuring both head honchos, George NB & Jim Brown, on tracks 3 and 4. This project is certainly one of our best yet, we’ve been buzzing to drop this!

The first track, ‘Earthling,’ kicks this EP off perfectly, quickly setting the tone and letting you know what Shiraz is all about. Spinning low end subs undercut spooky synthwork and tight drums, creating a haunting yet inviting atmosphere. When listening you’ll realise why this had to be the title track of the EP, seriously special stuff from Shiraz!

Jamie has been a dream to curate this release with – it’s with great pleasure he joins the Ascension roster, be sure to check his other releases and show the man some love!

A man of few words but many nicknames, Arran O’Neill (by choice) is a lowkey and somewhat unsung hero of the underground party landscape in Brum.
Over the past decade, Arran has played a key role in establishing several parties, filling the resident slot honours at others and frequenting the rest as an up-for-it punter.

Having never crippled to ever-rotating music trends, Arran has always stayed true to his taste with a stripped back and well-considered record collection which has plenty of groove, bass and secret, soulful B sides. This refined taste and understanding of tunes has seen him play on some highly respected stages and weekend parties including a Brum favourite, Gottwoood, with the Resonate crew.

Switching things up slightly for the BAB Mix series, Arran gives us an hour of slick, meticulously crafted DnB to get your limbs warm as the snow lingers.
