arbitrary presents the second in a series of 10” vinyl remix collaboration releases by Danish musician Mads Emil Nielsen and Chromacolor.

Side A features Heartbeats, a composition Nielsen originally made for a radio soundtrack. The track is derived from loops and granulations of sine waves and pulses from Nielsen’s modular synth, which he later combined with recordings of synthesized bass and layers of organ-like tones.

On side B is a remix by German sound artist and producer Hanno Leichtmann under his Chromacolor moniker. As on the first split 10” (Constellation, 2022), Leichtmann worked with sounds from the original mix, combining it with his Hohner Guitaret, Fender Rhodes and Moog bass. Additional cello tones by Anthea Caddy and vocal contributions from Annie Garlid round out the remix.

Walks is a romantic and personal story. In it, generative elements of melodies, shimmering with various cascades of emotions, create a dreamy atmosphere. The Walks's composition is presented in two parts. Each Teplo's chord will remind you the moment of unity with your beloved. Scuba will immerse us in wonders of the underwater world. November embodies the struggle of the element and inner peace, turning an ordinary walk into the poetry of life. AI is a fantasy on the topic of learning the empathy of artificial intelligence, as if he could not hide his joy by knowing human empathy abilities.

In this album, every melody, every sound becomes a reflection of deep feelings and experiences.

Этюды - новый альбом, наполненный лирическим настроением и мелодизмом в виде отдельных зарисовок. Здесь имеют место быть и реальные сюжеты и фантазии на различные темы.
