I'm all for mixing techno in, but I'm not sure if you "earned" this drastic of a switch.  I think I enjoyed the first half of this set more.

Mexican Wave time as this week's killer mixtape lands on the site fresh from one of Mexico's finest, Senor Louie Fresco no less! The No.19 recording artist released his album last year, to great acclaim, but he hasn't stopped working with that excellent body of work on the streets, he's been hard at it keeping the music going and working on a new collaborative project with his fellow Mexicano, Miguel Puente.

As you may expect from Louie, this mix is full of energy, melancholy melodies and enchanting rhythms. It's a reflection of his own style, which has grown and matured over the years, culminating in the release of his impressive debut album entitled 'Autophobia'. The album was snapped up by the guys at No.19 Music, the hugely respected label based in Canada and helmed by Jonny White of Art Department fame and the mighty Nitin.

Louie will be appearing right here in London very soon, headlining Cuckoo Club in the West End with Miguel Puente on 6th June and hitting Lightbox in south London the following weekend, 13th June.
