Sound Transitions is honored to bring you an excellent six track EP from Portland's own 5HTTP. The six tracks that comprise 5HTTP's Jel EP are varied and unique while all carrying the hallmarks of his expansive sound. They range from house thumpers to new age influenced spa dance to overdriven house smashers to mid-tempo hypnosis to bedroom headphone dives. The entire EP is filled with personality and emotion. This isn't some cold, unfeeling electronic album. This is something teeming with organic feeling and life. With a handful of prior releases on labels like Germany's A Friend In Need and Scotland's What Matters To You, 5HTTP has clearly spent time and effort honing his craft and Jel EP shines with the work and emotion that has been poured into it. We walk together through the deserted room. Nothing here now but at its peak this was a hive; something for someone, nothing to no one. Funny how things can change, decay is everywhere but is no less shocking nonetheless.

The wind hisses, the surface dust dances, your vision blurs and skin prickles. The dubby sounds of DJ Swagger have taken over and inhabited this place, breathing through the walls they set forward a chain reaction of activity. Perhaps this place is palatable, no desireable after all.

Repetentes 2008 is 26 year old Brazilian multi instrumentalist, session super star, Globo Television soap opera jingle up-and-comer, 40% Foda label boss and Botafogo FR football hooligan Gabriel Guerra. Known affectionately as Guerrinha amongst his friends, Guerrinha - or as he’s referred to officially - Gabriel, turns in Superconscious Records’ 13th edition. After his absurd debut LP on Future Times and his more recent outings on his own 40% Foda and PAN records, Guerrinha keeps things relatively straight up with 4 absurdly fast but not furious club friendly tracks.

HALT. are Craig Earp and Nathan Shwalbe. An electronic music duo from Birmingham UK, formed in the winter of 2019. As lifelong friends and collaborators - influenced by styles of Ambient, Drone, 1990’s IDM, Techno, and Soundtrack music - their productions radiate with emotion and natural chemistry.

Throughout their music, themes of nostalgia, dream states, and the occult are prominent, often rooted in highly textured and atmospheric environments. A sound motivated by the industrial landscapes of their Brutalist home city and inspired by the likes of Autechre, BOC, Morricone & Abul Mogard etc.

The spiritual successor to their debut Erbium track 'Transient Ridge', ‘Memory Fields’ marks the first full length album from HALT. and is available from Oct 29th 2020.
