Poleposition - Summer Solstice 13 CD2: Night

Poleposition covers two desperate djs, who finally ended at trance and progressive, after so many styles, they’ve liked. In the face of poor Hungarian trance life – years ago – they’ve started the project, to make the scene and the music more popular, Poleposition was born in 2005.

In 2006 Poleposition co-founded the first hungarian trance streaming radio, called TranceTream.FM, and also started a weekly radio show, Trancetream TopTen.

They were firstly introduced by the gigs of the radio: at Private Night, later at Budapest Trance Central, warming up the crowd for Ronski Speed.

Positive feedbacks were followed by new invitings, they have been residents on Trance Terrace of Hajógyári Island since summer of 2006. After that, they were playing at Palace Summer Opening Weeking, friday in its garden, then saturday in the arena before the set by Tiesto.

On 26 of August one of their dream attained again: a performance at the common truck of Blikk and Club Blade in the Budapest Parade. On the after party they granted an unexpected request: they closed the event after Kyau and Albert between the walls of Club Blade.

In 2007 the guys were doubling – they could play twice after their biggest favourite and ideal, Armin van Buuren at Club Palace. (First was in 2006)

2007, that year had many surprises for them – gigs for Trance Factory, Trance Sensation and Synergy serieses, included a special warm-up set for the classical Rank1.

Their 100th radioshow were celebrated by a limited-entering party at ’Catch the Club’ by a 3-hour-long exclusive set. (The first own produced track sounded secretly during the set.)

At new years-eve they granted other request: warm up for Menno de Jong, Danjo and Robert Nickson the invitation came from the Sound of Cream.

The last Budapest Trance Central was at Club White Angel with Markus Schulz. And they had the honour: playing after the master.

2009 is dedicated for studio work, making some own stuff and also for a brand new radioshow called: Budapest Gateway. (available in podcast form every month)

Nowadays their style is hard to define, but it contains the mark of dark progressive, minimal sounds, deep raspy electro over the uplifting trance’s signs.
