PF003 // Adriatic 90s nostalgia rages on the sound of PF003 made by Dirty Channels teaming up with the master of italo/dream house Don Carlos. A 4 tracks EP with two original mixes: while Adriatico recalls that dreamlike atmosphere through the vocal “paradise”, Tirreno is a fat crowd shaker tune.
And as the sea is constantly changing its movement affected by the Sun and the Moon, the homonymous “Adriatico” track comes in various forms moved by multiple forces: the track appears in a dub mix that makes our souls vibrate and also in a downtempo atmospheric remix by the head honcho of Studio Barnhus Axel Boman and in a more dancefloor oriented by the iconic Dutch Dj Tom Trago. This is a real tribute to a never-ending Italian spirit!

Based in Montreal, Canada, French DJ and producer Anatohl kicks off the 2022 season of the German label Dance Petrol Records with his new EP “Low Profile”. The young Canadian artist has been building throughout the years a musical universe that is both energetic and ethereal, delivering a sparkling Deep House sonority influenced by the 90s, oscillating between powerful grooves and vaporous layers. Showcasing proper production skills on his debut on DPR, he distils his many influences into three masterfully crafted House cuts fuelled with organic drums, cheeky vocal chops, and rough acid lines.

The track we chose to premiere, “Illegal Fruits”, brings Anatohl flirting with Afro percussive elements and combining them with melodic piano riffs and a groovy bassline plus the aforementioned organic drums, cheeky vocal chops, and rough acid lines, resulting in an atmospheric and passionate House Music piece. Enchantment is the name of number thirteen on Funnuvojere Records. It comes from Eamon Harkin, the Brooklyn-based Irish producer, DJ and label owner, known for founding long standing New York parties Mister Saturday Night & Mister Sunday. These parties have given birth to Nowadays, a permanent club space fast becoming a renowned New York institution. Harkin’s Mister Saturday Night Records has been a guarantee of quality music over the past decade and his productions have appeared on respected labels all over the world.

On Massimiliano Pagliara's label, Harkin's Storytelling EP is a four-track exploration of sonic sensations, marked by a minimalistic approach and a maximalist sound design. A bold bass line, distorted industrial pads and bouncy synths are the materials with which the opening track Reactance is built - a classic banger for sweaty late night dance floors.  Multiple string sequences jostle effortlessly in Dolphins, a Detroit-inspired track that has us floating in oceans deep. 

Lead single Enchantment is an 8 bit experimentation of house music with electro - euphoric, direct and beautifully harmonious. Title track Storytelling resounds as a polyrhythmic funk track, tinged with romantic melodies and alien pads. It closes this EP, elegantly highlighting the breadth and subtlety of Harkin’s musical knowledge and production skills.
