Polina Ice is an exciting and innovative new talent on the indie music scene. She seamlessly blends classical technique, jazz harmony, and rock sensibility into her unique, genre-blurring sound. She cites her influences from a vast array of artists, including Bach, Fiona Apple, King Crimson, Miles Davis, Nine Inch Nails, Prokofiev, Florence and the Machine, The Cure, Shostakovich, Depeche Mode, Steve Reich, Schnittke and Tom Waits.
 
Having pursued her passion for music since the age of four, Ms. Ice exhibits an awareness of the depth of structure and sound beyond her years at the piano and has won numerous awards and honors for her interpretations of classical works, including: 1st place in the Jugend musiziert in Duo: Klavier und ein Holzblasinstrument (Germany, 2016), the PIANALE JUNIOR, Schloss Hallenburg (Germany, 2015), Schlitz, the New York Summer Music Festival Concerto competition (New York, 2014), and at the 23rd Young Musicians International Competition (Italy, 2013). 
 
In pursuing her passion for rock and popular genres, Polina has pursued excellence in voice for the past five years, studying in both classical and rock genres. Her voice has a velvet texture and is both flexible and strong, with a timbre that seamlessly blends rock and classical sounds. She has performed her original genre-blurring music at The Day of Moscow Music Festival in Russia, in the Dussman Saal Performance Hall in Germany and at the Tzfat International Music Festival in Israel. 
 
Ms. Ice has studied with Kat Reinhert, Elizabeth Blumina, Dmitri Bashkirov, Gregory Gruzman, Dan, Robert Sabin, Randy Ingram, and from the myriad of recordings she seeks out on a daily basis.  As a composer and songwriter, Polina has completed a full length opera, numerous chamber music pieces for piano, over thirty original pop, rock, and jazz compositions, and is currently working on material for an EP.  With the EP to be released in 2018, Polina Ice is poised to take the world by storm – make sure you hang on to your hats.
