Gaslighting:
A pattern of abuse that may develop as much distress, if not more, as physical aggressions and it escalates to the point where the harmed ones lose their own sanity and integrity.
While government and society keeps ignoring this or categorising these misbehaviours under the name of "domestic" or "intimate partner" violence, this is a social issue and we, as society, and the State should take measures for prevention.
Psychotherapy waiting rooms would be emptier if we all would listen to the affected ones and will take psychological abuse as serious as it is. This starts by speaking up and making it visible.
To the ones who not only want to hear but listen to, here is a gaslighting story shaped in one hour mix.

"Based on Instinct" is the first solo EP of Atmophile Electronics co-founder Sharad Sood. All 4 tracks are composed in playful hardware jams, each following its own concept, from synthesis approach over rhythmic structures and recording techniques up to the editing process. Keeping a techno feel at heart this release is a representation of his never ending urge to experiment in the field of music creation and audio engineering.

We are happy to announce that Tension is back with a new, delicate and fresh 4 track EP called "Paper shapes", comforting the mind and setting the body in motion, following the incentives that proved
valuable and likeable to our early listeners on POLLEN2, also by Tension. 

Although both EP's have a distinctive style, they seem to enter the dancers feeling in a different manner. Paper shapes feels more
gentile and easier to comprehend when compared to Beacon. One can imagine feeling vulnerable, like a paper shape, moving inward and into your body when listening. Paper shapes invites us to shape our
movement in accordance with sounds that seem to represent a hard to define melancholia, where Beacon feels to be more taunting and gallic. Although both albums are supportive of motion and dance,
via Paper shapes Tenion has introduced us to his yet another of his many forms. 

We are glad to hereby introduce Pollen 6: "Paper Shapes", by Tension. Enjoy listening!

In this podcast we feature Sarkha, a multi-talented artist based in Berlin. Her first touch with DAW's comes from the film and visual post-production field, which exerts much influence on her productions and deejay sets, a blend of both cinematic aesthetics and electronic grooves.
 
Sarkha:
“It might sound like another 'about-this-mix' cliche but when I recorded this, I imagined myself inside a warehouse with a huge sound system and feeling that frenzy of being surrounded by people sharing the same energy. Many of us miss that and I realised during these isolation times that it was not only about partying; it was also about socialisation. It was about having a space to be what society said was wrong to be. It was about having a space to escape stressful and alienating imposed routines. It was a space for encounters. It was a space for being.

No intention here to awaken any pessimistic mood but rather to encourage you to not forget what we had. And to remind you nothing is forever and, at some point, we will have these moments back. In the meantime, we must keep on supporting the music industry as much as we can. Even if the virtual format is not what we like, we can still turn the volume up, close our eyes and dream for a moment. This is my small contribution to your imagination: a hybrid set where I blended fast grooves, distorted drums, rough atmospheres and nostalgic rave soundscapes. I hope you like it!”
