Berlin, spring 2020: I remember this sunny day in this empty park, when we had to kinda hide and keep away from other groups, and playing music outside was kinda restricted. So we sat in this empty park quite feeling illegal. It had an apocalyptical but peaceful atmosphere, at least sunny.
We joked about the summer chart hits and if there will be a " mixed coronahits 2020" record, like the BRAVO Hits. So we decided to produce a song like a chart hit - with sweet and dreamy atmosphere, Ohrwurmlyrics, spanish and english mixed of course. Like, " when everything is going wrong, the best we could do is to dance" .

Berlin, Xmas 2020: actually pretty good without family or at least just few hours with them via zoom. Actually, it was one of my most peaceful xmesses ever. But still.. do we need an epidemic to get a peaceful xmess and it's still a mess?   This not so merry xmess song is dedicated to all these people trying to get through family stuff, to those who are masking, coping and avoiding because it seems to be safer. And it's especially to those, who are feeling through it! It's getting fine. someday. somehow.

Actually, I'm a people person and I'm always with people. Or... was...
The lyrics connect two different song pieces, I wrote in two different situations in 2019, after long times in close company. 
First times after a long feeling of being stucked in connections. First times to breath. 
These song pieces were the first lyrics that came out, when I started to play the guitarlele the first time just for myself. 
And i recorded it directly, 'cause it was the first time, when I realized: "hey, I could record myself, just to see, what's happening". It was a oneshot. A onehitwonder. 
yes, it was magic of being alone.

The process started on a really bad day, end of August 2023 in my livingroom. "If I just could play guitar... I would express and feel my feelings with a guitar today. But unfortunately, I cannot play guitar at all." While saying this, my body moved to @paulfux guitarlele and just started to play. My body somehow just knew how to play. Hä?
"Sounds great, wanna record?" paul fux asked. 
And of course I created a song, that no profi-guitarlele-player ever in this world, would be able to play solo live acoustic. :D

It's the first song ever, I just wrote and composed for the guitarlele 2024. 
It came out at my first "improvisation - jamsession alone at home", that I recorded exactly for a reason like this. I expressed my heartbreak-feeling and improvised a whole song. Just had to change little things and than to practice it. Voilá.

The original version is a 20 Minute synthesizer atmosphere orchestra, I created around 2021 in a goodbye situation meditation. I use this lyrics in jams with other musicians, it's really nice to sing in different versions. 

This "stay soft"- version with Jon is special. We haven't been in contact and haven't seen each other for 10 years. And then suddenly: "Hey, I'm in Berlin, wanna hang out?" We shared the same special and lovely connection as in our early 20s - then and now.
And we played our first time guitarlele and music together. 
Actually, Jon was the first person I showed my new guitarlele songs and skills - I just started to discover my guitarlele a month ago. 

"Ok, one last song and we go to the bar" 
"Ok, deal, but let's record it with the smartphone."

This oneshot is one of my favorite versions ever of good*byes  <3

Fool ist ein Song über den schmerzhaften Prozess des Loslassens von einstigen Lieblingsmenschen.
Und hätte eigentlich eine Emo-Punkrock-Ballade à la My Chemical Romance sein sollen - Die *Solo*Acoustic Version* war schneller :)

2020 schrieben @paulfux und ich diese lyrics, als wir einen damaligen Lieblingsmenschen gehen lassen mussten und die Geschichte nie wirklich klären konnten.

Es brauchte 5 Jahre,... paar weitere schmerzhafte Abschiede von einstigen Lieblingsmenschen und eine Guitarlele,... um endlich diesen Song (solo)performen und all die zugehörigen Gefühle ausdrücken zu können. 

Fool ist Schmerz und Trost, Festhalten und Loslassen, Zurückblicken und Weitergehen.
Fool verzweifelt an ghosting und plötzlich verschlossenen Türen und findet die eigene Stärke in einem verwirrenden Verlust wieder.
Fool findet einen eigenen Abschluss, auch wenn es keinen gemeinsamen gibt.

Was nicht bleiben will, darf gehen. Es ist gut so.
