Eddie Palmieri aka ¨El Maestro¨ (the master) is an American Born, Puerto Rican descendant musician and composer from New York City. From early on he was exposed to jazz and tropical rhythms that were trendy in the rich Latin American scene of ¨the city that never sleeps''. Along with his brother Charly Palmieri he forged himself a name with many amazing albums and hits plus an incredible talent that made him a star of the genre all over the world. Still alive and playing you can find his music all over the best salsa and latin jazz playlists today. 

About El Extravagante and the Edit:

El Extravagante is a music producer / DJ from Chile living in France, his sounds go from Folktronica, Downtempo and Electropical Beats with a special love for electronic machines combined with acoustic instruments of the world. He’s also the co-founder/director of the known record label @cosmovisionrecords from Montreal, Canada. 

¨ Hello friends!As I dared to edit ¨El Maestro¨ I have to give a decent explanation right? lol. Well, as a big fan of latin jazz and salsa I did it as an homage to this incredible artist. Also both forms of music that I find are probably some of the most complex and complete in contemporary music, but at the same time so groovy, danceable and most of all, so happy and cheerful. This song from 1965 always makes me happy and I want to share it with everyone else. I hope you play it, dance and smile as much as I do everytime I play it  =)
