Abstrakt Dance Record's second instalment comes from a veteran of underground House and Techno, Sir Lord Comixx, aka Amoon Andrews with his ‘Trading Places EP’.

Amoon has been putting out records under various aliases since the mid-nineties on quality labels like ACV and Eukahouse and has juggled a dancing career alongside a versatile and passionate love for producing music.  He has danced with some of the world's best and comments, "Because I love to dance to music, and I need the music to dance, I am wholeheartedly now concentrating on my musical side."

This special release leans strongly towards the original sound of Detroit House and Techno with three originals from Sir Lord Comixx, opening with the warm grooves and metallic claps of ‘Trading Places’, to the techy beats and layered melodies of ‘Canvas’, followed by the reverberating strings and dark vibrations of ‘Red Light’.

The EP also includes two remixes from Abstrakt Dance label owners, Colin Dale and Jules Dickens.

Colin's remix of ‘Canvas’ with its breathy vocal samples and pulsing electronic progressions makes for a rousing, sensual mover from a man who knows how to maintain a full dancefloor, with over 20 years experience under his belt.

Jules' rework of ‘Red Light’ is inspired by the 90's era of Detroit Techno warehouse parties in London.  It features the haunting voice of Finlay Cowan (aka Subway Slim), best known for his illustration work for Pink Floyd and Muse.

Washerman is a story at it's best. The humble Gianni Siravo has been around since many years under different names. He released his first records in 1998 as SEQUEL on labels like Straight Ahead and Sonar Kollektiv. In 2008 he introduced us to his AZUNI project and released the album "City Look" on Agnès' label STHLM Audio as well as 12"es on Morris Audio, Quinessentials and Drumpoet. In 2012 he decided to release his music as Washerman. His first single „Kutz From The Basement EP“ for DPC became one of the most played records that summer/autumn and gained him a big reputation, followed up by countless remixes and releases on labels like Nite Grooves, Saft and Deso. He also started his own label DEEP DOWN SLAM, where he is championing music which is inspired by the early house groove of New York and Chicago. He has been busy travelling the world as a DJ and producing music, such as this honest raw album of quality house music. His first album entitled "Raw Poet" features nothing less than a 909, a Juno 60 and some other bits to create this unique groove we can not resist. It's simply underground dance music in its purest way and straight to the point.
We were simply blown away when we heard it first. On the dancefloor it was killing and used to put us into the difficult situation asking ourselves what we can play next, to keep this irresisteble energy alive.

Two great young Italian producers color this ep with great quality.
Marcos Baiano, after his two great Album on the big label Little Angel Records, makes a remix with his own style, analog sounds and vibe that raise the track to the next level.
Vincenzo Ciotoli, after having rode the indie/nu disco beatport chart with his release on the historic label from NYC Street King, comes out on Audio Esperanto with a remix carachetrized by atonal and no-loopy synth and warm bass over an atmospheric background.
