Demitri McNair, better known to the world as Polo D (or DJ DotCom) to the masses was born from very humble beginnings in Fayetteville, North Carolina and later re-located to Augusta, Georgia where, one could argue, his path to greatness as a national entertainer and businessman began. Polo D began slowly, building his base using the college market in his area as a starting point, a market which many had difficulty targeting for entertainment in the past. Using that market and his position as Director of Marketing and Advertising (as well as Head of Promotion ) of the then brand new marketing firm, 1st Class Family, Polo D began working his way up through the ranks of the entertainment scene in Augusta and the surrounding areas, earning the respect and envy of his peers. With a great team behind him and his right hand (wo)man Cheri Finesse beside him, Polo D soon began to control the demographic of college students in the area from Paine College in Georgia to Voorhees College in South Carolina , earning the title “Ur Favorite Promoter” and becoming the “Go To” guy for parties. As is the case with most successful entertainers, Polo very soon began progressing even further as a promoter for 21+ events working closely with many of the top premier establishments in the CSRA to include Cream Nightclub, Pure Ultralounge and the S-Bar. Because Polo D realized the importance of becoming even more familiar with his craft, he decided to continue his pursuit of education, choosing to major in Mass Communications in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area where he attends Weatherford College. That move opened up a whole new chapter in his life as an entertainer. It was there, in Texas that Polo began DJing and soon became a premier tour DJ for OhBoy Prince and Soufside of the GS Boyz and then subsequently was picked up by the widely known and respected Drum Squad DJs, once again proving that a true entertainer wears not just one hat. Polo D continues to this day traveling the United States, killing parties as a DJ, rocking the Mic as an MC and shaking up the entertainment world as a businessman
