This is a fundamentally weird point that elides the fact that Jewish experiences with integrationism in the latter half of the 19th century and the early half of the 20th were all pretty negative. I don't think there's a really strong argument to be made around "Poland invited Jews over 1000 yeas ago" if the Jews of 1945 had just watched their Polish (and Ukrainian and other East European) neighbours gleefully pitching in to kill them off. It was also quite clear after 1945, when European and western states in general refused to accept large numbers of Jews (who continue living in the camps post-liberation), that the integrationist dream was dead.

We discussed how the the Zionist project in Palestine depended upon the erasure of the culture of the Pre-WWII Jewish diaspora, why it is that Israeli military operations command near unanimous support within Israel, and how Israel's economy has become massively dependent on its military industrial complex and permanent conflict.
