Currently, our families are facing challenges such as living in a total blackout, with no electricity, water, and internet for 40-60 hours or more, in cold buildings, wearing every piece of clothing we have to keep ourselves warm. This release is also dedicated to all the people around the world who have helped us, and to those who still continue to support us during these difficult times. That's where the name of the series ("VOLUNTEERS") and release ("BLACKOUT") came from. Everyone who has supported Ukraine in any way is a volunteer. In the context of this compilation, every musician, mastering engineer, artwork designer, and person who buys the release or a track from it is also a volunteer.

VOLUNTEERS vol.1 — BLACKOUT [PLGN003]

Bad habit EP

On the new album ‘Kōhai’ by Arkady Lenov under the pseudonym Native Outsider, the raging bass and elements of the inherent techno sound are organically intertwined with advanced sound design, creating a multi-layered and fascinating soundscape. Continuing to explore the ideas behind his previous album Modern, released on Progressive Future, the artist delves deeper into the low-frequency spectrum, placing distorted drumming against a backdrop of thick and mysterious textures.
Created in Kyiv in 2023-2024, the release carries the symbolism of renewal, both external and internal. The cover artwork with the texture of the artist's severed hair emphasises the idea of shedding spiritual burdens, complete emptying and the beginning of a new life cycle. Deep reflections on one's own place in the world and the present formed the leitmotif of this release. The main source of inspiration was reflections on the struggle against the pervasive feeling of lost opportunities and restrictions that limit freedom of action. It came through all the stages of realising the inevitability of global processes and their unstoppable inertia, which changes everyone's life.
The album was also influenced by the spirit of the current Ukrainian electronic music and club scene, which is developing rapidly despite all the circumstances. Instead of succumbing to fear or trying to avoid reality, the author chose to immerse himself in exaltation. Music and movement have become a way for him to live his emotions - sincerely and openly, even in the face of an existential abyss and an unknown future.

Native Outsider — Kōhai LP [PLGN013]

Full Moon LP is the result of a year-long creative journey of Ukrainian producer Glib, better known as Terawax (@terawax).
The album combines electro, breakbeat and jungle sounds that embody the atmosphere of the Kyiv nightlife scene of the late 2010s. The release includes remixes by Ukrainian musician Recid (@recid) and Venezuelan resident of our label Dagga (@daggatrx), each of whom brought their own unique vision to the album's sound.

The track ‘G Force’ is available for listening and pre-order before the official release. This is a traditional acid sound built around experiments with Roland TB-303. The composition is inspired by both the classic sound of the genre and its modern interpretations, demonstrating the depth and freedom of experimentation in Terawax's work.

The full release will be available on all platforms on 29 January.

Terawax — Full Moon [PLGN015]

Qualia LP, the latest work by Ukrainian electronic producer, DJ, and filmmaker Anton Sominaryst, is set to be released on 10 April 2025 via Kyiv’s electronic label Polygon. Rooted in breaks, electro, and acid, this nine-track bass heavy release merges genre-defying experimentation with profound conceptual storytelling. Inspired by the philosophical concept of qualia - the deeply personal aspects of experience that cannot be fully conveyed to others - Sominaryst invites listeners to step into his story, reshaping it through their own perceptions.

Over a year and a half in the making, Qualia LP merges experimental genre conventions, electronic synthesis, and field recordings, crafting bass-driven compositions where folkloric and symphonic motifs intertwine with layered live percussive textures. Each track serves as a vivid reconstruction of the forces, influences, and experiences stored within, relived and transformed into a high-energy, forward-thinking club music. 

For Sominaryst, the concept of qualia lies at the core of his artistic identity. As a musician, filmmaker, drummer, and former war journalist during the early days of the full-scale invasion, his work is shaped by a broad spectrum of lived qualias. Central to the album is a profound exploration of freedom: can it truly exist without the boundaries we create or those forced upon us? This idea is captured in the music video for the album’s title track, brought to life through nearly 500 hand-drawn frames of mixed-media animation. Created in collaboration with director Sasha Tuz and visual artist Anastasiia Vesna, the video contrasts the weight of urban confinement with the unbounded potential of a surreal natural realm.

The cityscape represents the weight of routines and realities in modern life, while the vast, untethered natural landscape evokes limitless freedom one can experience. The protagonist, clad in a stabilizing “urban costume,” navigates these contrasting worlds, embodying the tension between the familiar and the unknown. Drawing inspiration from Albert Camus’ Myth of Sisyphus, the narrative reframes the absurdity of existence as an act of never-ending self-discovery. Paired with the album’s high-energy sound, the video delivers a powerful commentary on the human condition and identity, encouraging viewers to reflect on the intricate balance between limitation and liberation.


The release’s artwork, designed by Anastasiia Vesna, juxtaposes human faces with a fractal spiral, mirroring the concept of qualia. The geometric background symbolizes the structured nature of music, where the chaos of organic forms fits into a precise rhythm or mathematical perception, yet each experience remains uniquely individual.
