Born in Colombia, the delicate intricacies of Launaea’s creative outputs within the realms of deep sounds are renowned for their breathtaking enchantment, always distinguished for being a constant growth of lush atmospheres blended with percussive and tribal rhythms, taking the nature as a source of inspiration and converging subtly and pleasant textures layered with a variety of soundscapes that evoke states of tension and calm at the same time.

As founder of ‘From a Lost Place’ label, Launaea has been doing different publications in his own imprint, also a collaborative project with Laura BCR released on the iconic Robert Johnson Label, and upcoming releases on Semantica Records and Polish imprint Dans Le Desert, among others.

In anticipation of the next release on Eaux, a mini-album collaboration with Polygonia entitled "Dermatology," I have decided to release a rare recording of one of my live sets, taken from this year's Mostra Festival, located in the historic Montjuïc Castle overlooking Barcelona. Performing in the evening in this majestic location with the open-minded Mostra audience, I felt especially free to let this set unfold even more slowly and patiently than normal. Some of the material is taken from the upcoming release with Polygonia, so it also functions as a sort of hidden sneak preview. I hope you enjoy the journey :)

Means&3rd aka Ben Marsden joins us for episode 469 with an extensive session covering over 2 hours worth of techno territory.

The Manchester based artist can be found behind the counter at the legendary Eastern Bloc Records where he fronts the house and techno curation for the shop.  He has leveraged his exposure to the latest sounds there to promote his own Unveiled Nuance events and label as well as securing performances at events throughout the country.

Some words from Ben - 

"I aimed to create something that reflects where I am sonically right now. The aesthetic of the deeper sound has expanded so much lately, touching on all sorts of BPM's and vibes, and I've really been loving every bit of it. This music requires some patience and a commitment to fully appreciate it, which is one of the reasons it continues to captivate me so much. 

I also wanted to give a huge shout-out to all the incredible artists featured in this mix; there's so much amazing music out there right now., and a massive thank you to the Monument team as well—I'm genuinely grateful for this opportunity "

Today's podcast is a live recording from the most recent Crescent party, held on the 1st June.

Kalumet is Zoltan Vajda from Hungary - one of the old-school storytellers of the psytrance scene. Active since the mid-90s, he’s witnessed the global rise and evolution of psychedelic music firsthand. His sets are deep, twisted journeys, shaped by decades of experience and an eclectic mix of influences - from Joy Division and Kraftwerk to Spirit Zone and global folk traditions.

Starting with guitar and bass in the late ‚80s, Kalumet’s sonic path led him through punk, industrial, techno, and psytrance. Under aliases like Ork Monk and Tiger Punch, he’s performed in unforgettable venues across the globe - from catacombs and mountaintops to jungles and beaches, and on the main stages of Ozora, Boom, Voov, and more.
