The first live feature-length performance of my debut album, In The Spirit Of Diaspora. This performance was part of an evening I curated titled, "Diasporic Visions". Diasporic Visions was an iteration of the Cave Inn's Experimental Nights, which run as a fortnightly Tuesday fixture. The evening featured Tokio Ardent and Huda The Goddess.  

The Cave Inn was where I performed for the very first time, nervous and unaware of what was to come, but nevertheless excited. Thank you to Hayden (Isadora Chadeaux) for pushing me to do that initial performance. Without you, things would never have come full-circle as they did. Thank you to Boddhi for looking after sound for the evening. Thank you to all who came to witness. 

It was a very emotional performance. I had thoughts of channelling the millennia of ancestors who had come before me. Those who came before colonisation. Before the modern technologies that enabled this release. Before Diaspora. They performed in their own spirits, and their spirits live on, through me - beyond the heart and before the stage. 



This performance took place on the stolen lands of the Yuggera, Turrbal, Ugurapul and Quandamooka peoples. Sovereignty was never ceded.

I Spy... With My Little Eye...

The first in a series of tracks reincarnated from In The Spirit Of Diaspora.

Here, we use our divination board to peer into the future. On that board we find Quincy Raw reincarnate, taking those shiny, clairvoyant bells to make a flesh we have yet to embody.

There is a longing here, unanswered. Maybe to be forever unanswered. But let us divine, and have our spirits be guided.

An invitation to an ongoing club night series of experiments in the basement of Echo&Bounce, initially known as 'Refuge'. 
One scene, one happening, spread over 3 Acts, this is 300 minutes of CD, Digital and Vinyl theatre. 

Thank you to dear friend Riley (AKA Update Prayer) for inviting me to curate this night. In their words,

"...bona is a long-standing contributor to the city and is a consistent voice in growing and reinforcing community...with them are DJ SHITHOUSE and Ta[h]sha who intend to combat hauntology by breathing life into the ever more obsolete cd. The sound research for the show draws on songs played in some of my very early guest appearances on Full of Air, song reccommendations from friends, The Full of Air Carpark Gig (2024), Queer, Underground Magand-jin club moments and yearning for distant worlds. 

Above all, the question I had most on my mind during show preparation was, 
"What is the Full of Air sound?"

Full of Air Finale

An exclusively vinyl show featuring black matriarchs. 
The centrepiece is Huda's debut studio album release, Story Of Another Soul. It was produced in collaboration with Reuben Lewis on Wurundjeri and Woi-wurrung lands of the Kulin Nation.
