Next up on Nightcolours is La Mano, the alias of UK based producer Carlo Bragagnini. With previous releases on the likes of Secret Factory & Through Gods Own Eyes, he's also caught the attention of Bicep and recorded a mix for their podcast series. With a sound forged on melody and emotion with influence from Italo-Disco right through to Progressive, his productions have been supported by DJs such as Ame, Man Power, Jennifer Cardini, Henry Saiz and many more. Solo Dancer is a melodic progressive gem, swirling arps, lush textured pads and nagging riffs piledrive the track forward to its delicious climax. Taking on remix duties is Dark Disco maestro Man2.0 who delivers a thumping, throbbing beast of a rework modelled around ever ascending melodies and snapping, snarling snare drums. The summer is hot and the stages remain empty but the fans have spoken and we refuse to stop the beat here at Kompakt! London’s own @kiwidj joins us with “Hello Echo” to fill your boombox park hangs with 3 epic blends of disco, house and everything in-between.

To those unfamiliar with Kiwi here’s a quick intro. He’s the mind behind Crossbreed, the talked-about label and party series coming out of London. His early music endeavors saw him release on coveted labels like Disco Halal, Days Of Being Wild, Deep Shit, Optimo, Mood Black, Correspondent and we cannot forget the massively massive single “Orca” released on Futureboogie in 2017. He’s now ready to share the fruits of his lockdown with this debut for Kompakt.

We ring in with the title track ”Hello Echo” featuring Bestley on vocals. Simply put, THIS is that disco-fied feel good single that is as essential as every hot day requires a cold drink in hand. Sexy and bold, “Down with the Rhythm” an immaculate bass line and a vocal that would make Dave Gahan proud. “Acqua Panna” is a favourite for us here. A crazed breakbeat mingles with a lost piano and synth that seems to jam on nowhere but somewhere that we find is very dear to the dance floor.

Over the past few years, UK artist, Saytek (aka Joseph Keevill) has carved himself a reputation as one of the electronic music scene's most innovative live acts with his impressive improvised shows. Volume four of Cinthie's infamous 803 Crystal Groove Collective Cuts is about to drop and contains four (deep) House tracks from four different artists. While Asquith, who provides Souls (Deep Mix) to the package, the fourth edition of 803 Crystal Groove Collective Cuts introduces listeners to three new acts, namely Manuold, UC Beatz and Yard One. The latter are UK producers Jordan Bruce and Larry Jones, while Jones hails from Manchester, Jordan is currently based in Den Haag. For their contribution to the V/A they readied Disjoint, a take that combines both: an inevitable groove and classy deep chord sequences. Both, the dynamic drum workout with gritty bass hits and the rather bright melodic synths create an overal intriguing piece of music that soaks the listener not only into his vibe but onto the floors to let oneself go and dwell in the beauty of this deeply hitting melody.
