En mars 2020, alors qu’une des plus grandes crises sanitaires mondiale de notre époque faisait rage, une team de producteurs intrépides a choisi de trouver un abri sur l’île de Coronium, là où les basses et caisse claire frappantes sont les meilleurs des vaccins.

Sur Coronium Island, ls règles sont simples:

“Le sample est imposé par l’élu du dernier round.
on commence tous en même temps
au bout d'1h30 tout le monde upload sur le thread
Aucune contrainte musicale si ce n'est d'utiliser le sample
Concertation en fin de round pour désigner le fournisseur du sample au round suivant”

Pour faire était de cette production foisonnante, Skwig et Axone ont dilué les meilleurs beats issu des 12 rounds qui ont eu lieu entre le 20 avril et le 23 mai dans un collage sonore de 90 minutes. Avec pas moins de 16 participants, les habitant du Coronium Island célèbre des samples issus de la pop, jazz, ou de l’anime.

In march 2020, while one of the biggest sanitary crisis of our time raged, a team of intrepid producers took shelter on Coronium Island. A place where crunching snares and bouncing kicks can cure any diseases.

On Coronium Island, rules are simple :

“The sample is chosen by the winner of the last round.
Everybody starts at the same start.
After 90 minutes, everyone has to upload his track on the thread
There no musical constraints except that using the sample
At the end of the round there’s a vote to elect the sample provider for the next one.”

To report this prolific production, Skwig and Axone diluted the best beats from the 12 rounds that took place between the 20th of April and the 23th of May in a 90 minutes collages. The 16 Coronium Island residents celebrated samples from pop, jazz and anime in two 45 minutes sides.

METHLAB RECORDINGS continues its INTEGRAL AESTHETICS series with the SEMTINAL CONVEX EP, the debut release of veteran IDM pioneer ROEL FUNCKEN on the label. Championed within are the sonic ideals central to the INTEGRAL AESTHETICS series as the EP unfolds both radiant aural landscapes and complexly spiraling sonic sequences across its 6 tracks.

NEBULA MESSIR's vast pads wash over the looping rhythm created in the synthesis of its pulsating bass and cyclic drums, providing a backing for a variety of glistening motifs which unravel themselves from its center. PYKES KESSLER contrasts its predecessor with a sharp percussive palette which takes precedence over the groaning reverberations of its bassline in an experience of multifaceted turmoil reigned in by the constancy of its distant melody. THORN CACTI thusly represents a synthesis of the EP's opening pair, blending shimmering chords with dense percussive sequences that evolve convergently with its staccato melody for a track that is at once both dense and expansive. BOYTRON KOVAX features a collaboration with RECUE and unifies a disparate grouping of ideals within its span, moving between moments of mania and lucidity inexorably bound by naught but a shared tonality yet concise in their shared existence. Sharing its name with the EP itself, TITULAR CONVEX opens with a yearning arpeggio that floats upwards, effervescent atop a wandering drumbeat that slides effortlessly through a realm of wistful strings, frenetic vocal chops and dusky pads before exiting with phantasmal ease. SAVAREEN brings finality to the EP not with a decisive demonstration but rather with a conceptual remembrance. The track gathers the myriad textures of the EP within the grasp of its gentle atmosphere, releasing them in sparse bursts of reverie that fade into the ether of its pads before closing with a brief drum flourish which rolls into nothingness as though an afterthought.

With the TITULAR CONVEX EP, ROEL FUNCKEN & METHLAB RECORDINGS present a fiercely experimental work born of the joint unity of their philosophies, unfurling the sonic tale of the INTEGRAL AESTHETICS series further with its complex sequences.

Polymorphic: real name is Oleg Kazakov, is a promising musician from Russia who shares studio rooms with The Proxy in a Moscow District based studio. Polymorphic first released his debut single ‘Toxication’ under the American label Sweet Rains Records in 2008. Later that year he appeared as a remixer on The Proxy's "Raven" EP on Turbo Recordings. Feedback for this remix of "Raven" was enormous, and many producers/DJ's prefer it to the original. In 2009 there were several successful releases such as the Technomusic EP (recently, he was taken to the show "CSI NY"), Gaze EP and remixes of Fukkk Offf, AutoKratz, Robot Disaster, Lions At Your Door and Proxy "Who Are You?" EP on Turbo Records, which all have high popularity and great feedback. In the Summer of 2010 his new EP titled "Rock to Play" was released on Mako Records and "Apocalypse" on Coco Machete. Soon to follow in Fall of 2010 was his massive remix of Hey Today's track "Strange".In 2011 was remixes on Hazel, The W, Dilemn, Teenage Bad Girl, The Subs and Autodidakt. Also in 2011 was a mega release "Opposition"
collaboration with Marseille with plenty of remixes. 2012 began with the release on Lektroluv Records "Chicks Love The Car / Hocus Pocus" EP and remixes on Frederic de Carvalho and D-R-U-N-K Vs Marseille. Polymorphic's music can better be described as nuclear warfare for your ears.
