polyphonic parachute are Yuki Kaneko and Takahisa Umehara's band.
Yuki Kaneko released 1st album "rut" from mOAR(sub label of and/OAR) His music was selected for Cornelius "Sensuous" Remix contest. He plays many toys and various musical instruments, tape recorders, electronics.
Takahisa Umehara is a guitarist affected by John Fahey, Jim O'Rourke and etc. He plays Resonator, Acoustic and Electric Guitars and many musical instruments.
They create multiple layers of colorful and psychedelic sounds from various musical instruments and objects. There are no restrictions on their music.
1st album "polyphonic parachute" is release from balen disc.


国内はMagicBookRecords、海外では老舗音響レーベルand/OAR傘下のmOARより1stソロアルバム『rut』をリリースし、ao to aoのカシオトーンコンピレーション等幾つかのコンピレーションCDに参加、corneliusのremixコンテストにそっと入選していたりもする yuki kanekoと、ブルース、カントリーから発展したスタイルの演奏をおこない、ソロ形態としてkiwa名義でも音源制作をするtakahisa umeharaによる多幸感サイケデリック・バンド。
yuki kanekoのエレクトロニクスを用いて加工されたピアニカやおもちゃ、キーボードの音、カセットテープレコーダーの操作によるゆらゆらした音や、 takahisa umeharaのリゾネーターギターやエレクトリックギターなどを用いて演奏。
多層的なメロディーの断片や鮮やかなテクスチャーをコラージュし、ポップかつ自由な演奏で多彩な音を降らす。yuki kaneko主催のbalen discからリリースされ好評のコンピレーションCD『tide』にそれぞれのソロ音源も含め収録。結成より2年、2011年8月24日に1stアルバム 『polyphonic parachute』をリリース。
それぞれのソロアルバム、次のアルバム(2ndアルバムじゃない)も近日リリース予定。
