Sebastian Hal - Reflections

Swiss artist Juli Lee brings real emotional depth to her take on deep house and techno, featured on labels such as Upon You Records, MYR, and Klaus:elle. She is obsessed with sound design, modulated waveforms and spacious bass, and has taken her immersive sounds all around Europe. This new creative partnership is the result of a lifelong friendship between two women who share a similar outlook on life and art. While reading a selection of DeVaux's poems, Juli Lee was struck by one in particular that describes the moment a person becomes freed from painful experience, but without any regret for what happened. Says Juli, who used the poem as inspiration for this single, "it describes the art of finding peace and feeling gratitude for something that was and will never be again." The vocal melody was the final phase, during which DeVaux responded to the musical interpretation of her words and thoughts as she sang the poem for the first time in the studio. 'The Art Of Walking Away' is a sumptuous mid-tempo electronic house lullaby. The spacious bass and widescreen pads are lush and glow with genuine warmth as twinkling melodies and deft eﬀects bring the soundscape to life. The delicately delivered poem adds depth, and its dreamy tones draw you ever further into the groove.

PREMIERE: Juli Lee feat. DeVaux - The Art of Walking Away (Original Mix) [Black Stellar Music]

Felix E and Michael Ritter combine their skills on a standout new EP for INDISKRET BERLIN Records with remixes from Pajuh, Esin and Biesmans. 
Ritter is a key player in Germany’s melodic techno scene who combines intricate rhythms with emotive melodies for a sound that’s both deep and dancefloor-ready, and Felix E drops high-energy and sleek productions blending groove, grit and forward-thinking sounds.
Tension is a perfect mood builder with atmospheric pads and wavy beats sweeping you up and encouraging you to get lost in the cosmic melodies. Release is a dubby cut with a moody lead synth that keeps you locked in for the ride as the bass wanders on. Revolte then shuts down with more driving drums and nimbler energy as more widescreen pads bring the soul up top.
First to remix is Pajuh who flips Tension into a deep cut with fizzing, pixelated chords spraying across the mix to dramatic effect. Esin then keeps things lush and dreamy with a zoned out and deep roller of a remix of Release, and then Revolte gets an upbeat and pumping house rework from Biesmans who brings bright pads and thumping kicks. 
These are three sophisticated new sounds from Felix E & Michael Ritter.
