For the 17th instalment of our monthly podcast series we invited 

Andrea Ruffino, known as nAX_acid, is an Italian DJ and electronic music producer renowned for his experimental and hypnotic techno. 
Born in 1982, he drew early inspiration from Aphex Twin at 16, leading him to explore vinyl collecting and genres like techno, drum & bass, and electro. 
He began his DJ career at illegal raves in his hometown and started producing music in 2004, influenced by minimal, acid, and Detroit techno.

After moving to London in 2005, he gained underground recognition with his debut track Friends & Crocodiles (2006), released on the Disappear Here label. In 2007, he founded Aconito Records, emphasizing experimental and atmospheric techno.

Known for his dynamic DJ sets, nAX_acid has performed at iconic venues such as Tresor (Berlin), Corsica Studios, E1 (London), Cool Club (Madrid), Micro Club (Valencia), and many more and festivals worldwide like Global Ark (Japan). 
Through his productions and Aconito Records, he remains a significant figure in the evolution of underground techno.

Our 18th instalment is here and we invited Kai van Dongen, a Producer, DJ & Vocalist from Johannesburg, South Africa.

Based in London for the past 7 years, Kai has built up a prolific discography across labels like Truncate, Enemy, Second State, Ei8ht, Roses Are Red and his own bandcamp imprint - KVD records.

His productions span across techno, electro, rave and electronica and can be heard at clubs and festivals around the world including spaces like Berghain, Bassiani and Tresor by DJ’s like Luke Slater, Rødhåd, Truncate and Dustin Zahn.

His mixing style has been described as rhythmic, incisive and angular with track selection leaning toward an anything with soul approach. This has seen him play in cities like Amsterdam, Lisbon, Los Angeles & Phoenix as well as release mixes on various podcast series and radio stations like Bassiani, Reclaim Your City, DifferentSound, TOYTOY & Radio Fritz on both digital and vinyl media.

Polyritmica No18 - Kai van Dongen

Mattia Fois and Panik Attak are two Italian artists based in London, united by a shared language of raw, hypnotic techno.

Coming from opposite ends of Italy, Mattia from Sardinia, Jacopo from the North-East, they honed their sound through years immersed in club culture and studio work, drawn to the darker realms of electronic music.

Their individual styles collide in a place of tension and drive: Mattia brings distorted textures, broken patterns, and a taste for unpredictability; Panik Attak delivers sharp, acid-laced grooves and fast, precise rhythms.

Together, their sound is raw and focused dark techno built on pressure, grit, and intricate detail.

Salvador Perea, aka Retter, is a Colombian DJ, producer, and electronic music enthusiast who moved to Berlin five years ago to immerse himself in its underground scene and contribute to its vibrant culture.

Initially drawn to techno, his sound evolved within Berlin's dynamic landscape. 
As Retter, he spans a wide range of electronic music - venturing into experimental territories while keeping the dancefloor alive with intrigue. 
An outlet of raw energy and hypnotic grooves, his sets combine precision and unpredictability.

He is also part of the trio 2001 Space Odyssey with Nikita T and Fase023, blending live improvisation and experimental fusion to push musical boundaries.
During the pandemic, Salvador found inspiration in organizing and playing at raves, which led to the creation of Técnica - a label and event series. Técnica's releases gained attention, and its events in underground and illegal clubs helped establish its distinct presence in the Berlin scene.

Excited to share with you a new podcast for our series. 
This month we invited Kamen, a French DJ and producer, co-founder of OSS Records and GRS Techno. 

His sound blends hypnotic techno, industrial grit, hardgroove energy and ambient depth, with a strong focus on textured sound design and precision rhythms.

Active for nearly 15 years, he draws inspiration from labels like Hayes, Ilian Tape and Mutual Rytm, and also operates under the alias JS.TRICKS and as one half of the duo Crime Partners.
With releases on respected imprints such as Skryptöm, PRX Records, PRTL WRX, DifferentSounds and Inphase, Kamen continues to shape his distinctive universe.
His recent standout performance at FOLD for the 100th UNFOLD confirmed his rising profile.

A versatile and dedicated artist, Kamen is part of a new generation pushing techno forward with depth and character.
