I feel like in an au where Papyrus is in Mettaton's role the Mettaton sections would be replaced with different types of puzzle-based challenges, like Escape Rooms, Murder Mysteries, and maybe even a Egyptian-themed area where you have to solve a Sphinx's riddles, since, the word "Papyrus", which Papyrus is named after, refers to a type of paper that Egyptians wrote on.
