Polytone Recordings first mini-jubilee is due, and congratulations coming in directly from Detroit and Berlin! 

First felicitator is Terrence Dixon of Tresor fame. His track "Pacers" is an intriguing 10-minute-journey. On the flip we find "Spirals", a stirring track from Iron Curtis. After his remix for Matthias Vogt's "Together As One" (PLTR004) the Berlin based producer delivers his first original for Polytone.

This is Matthias Vogt's third installment on Polytone Recordings!
With "Maintain" he proves distinct feeling for musicality once more: As Vogt is an accomplished Jazz pianist, he is able to move easily between uplifting drive and harmonic substructures.
The flip side deals with the welcoming of two illustrious remix artists to Polytone's roster: Bleak and Vince Watson.
Bleak is renowned for having his musical output released on labels like Delsin and Deeply Rooted House. On remix duties Bleak drops hell of a Detroit vehicle. Based on significant drum grooves his remix will ultimately shake the dancefloor to its foundations.
Vince Watson's discography goes back to the mid-nineties and we vainly tried to keep track of his enormous musical output. Maintaining the spirit and the vibe of Vogt's original tune Vince Watson takes the original track and turns it into a string and pad driven sonic exploration perfectly fitting for Polytone's eclectic approach.

Polytone Recordings is back with a four-track EP featuring two originals from Orion and two raw remixes from Johannes Volk and BLD – the latter included as digital bonus track.

Title-track ‘Gravity’ simmers effortlessly over rumbling sooty percussion and drawn-out atmospherics to deliver a dynamic techno cut geared to the darkest dance floors while the Beatless version does exactly what it says on the tin - in fine ethereal form. 

Up for remix duty are is Exploration head honcho Johannes Volk and BLD. Johannes is known especially for his quality output on Axis, Sistrum and more recently London’s Tief Music. He certainly delivers for the Frankfurt imprint utilising punchy drums, sharp modulations and oscillating synth lines to dish up a robust and hypnotic re-imaginging. 

Only featured in this release, the second remix comes from Barcelona based BLD. Effectively picking up on the mood of the original track, he delivers an acid influenced interpretation of “Gravity” on a slightly broken beat structure.

After his successful remix of Orion’s “Gravity“ Johannes Volk returns to Polytone with his debut EP. Two excellent techno tracks are in place and a spaced out ambient piece called “It Could Happen“ describes the mysterious view from a spacecraft cockpit into the wideness of the universe. On the 
A-Side Volk blows the whistle of the EP’s title “Asteroid Riding“ with funky chords accompanied by a wide deep bassline, short samples, classic percussions and a cropped stomping kick-drum, that let you ride through the orbit. On the B-Side “Earthbound“ pounds with a broad hollow kick, arpeggiated synth’s, alerting sounds and a harmonically settled type of string-line that eases the element’s diversity like the blue planet’s gravity. Within the tracks that have been built to transport the feel of time and space, Johannes Volk again pushes himself on the cutting edge of electronic music.
