David Desiré aka Pompër was born the 11th of November 1987 in Avilés, Asturias. Although he moved to Santander for family reasons when he was four years old and this is where he currently lives.

Pompër, as known in the electronic music scene, is a true music lover. He likes different styles such as reggae, hip hop, rock music and many more. Never the less, his beloved style is electronic music, reaching from more powerful techno, passing by the deep house and minimal until the techno house he mixes in his sets.

In terms of his musical preferences, Pompër assumes a definite focus on sound design regardless of the musical genre. However, he has his certain weaknesses stated as followed: "I like songs that have a first class groove in techno productions as well as a minimalist touch. In the tech house subgenre I also favor a good vocal in the track".

Pompër’s beloved DJ's are amid others: Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Nic Fanciulli, Enzo Siragusa, Robert Dietz, Matthias Kaden, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Steve Lawler and as well as others.
On the other hand DJ’s known for their production capacities are admired by Pompër as well: Joeski, Re-Up, Uner, Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann, &Me, Radio Slave, Maceo Plex, Phillip Bader, Sabb, Ramon Tapia, Re.you, Santé or Super Flu and more.

Music changes like everything else in life. Electronic music is not indifferent towards these changes. "The current movement is evolving techno house towards the deep tech or deep house genre and my proclivity it is exactly that, a deep tech sound could be stated, always remaining faithful to more minimalist music and highlighting a first class groove as dictated by techno music as well as vocals belonging to house music. I believe there is an ability to adjust to current trend and at same time being true to your own preferences as well as providing always something different to the scene.

In terms of his ambition he wishes to perform in national and international clubs. Pompër has been at a variety of European festivals which have always captivated him. Pompër said he aspires to be perform on the greatest European festivals as well as to work together with some of his favorite artists. He also declared intentions to found his own label. This can be found in his statement: “I believe that the only limit that we have is the one we set ourselves.”

Great artists are usually inspired by a variety of genres to carry out their productions and DJ sets. Pompër believes that the combination of loving electronic music as well as being inspired by reggae and hip hop is his approach. He indicates the high quality as well as elegant mixes from Marco Carola and the energetic music of Richie Hawtin. Also Marc Antona and his different style are a source of inspiration.
