A reoccuring topic in a musician’s life: „Motivation“. Often accompanied with the lack of said motivation. Sometimes resulting in a „writer’s block“. But what do you do when it hits you? You continue. You go on. Can’t stop, won’t stop. 

Drawing subconscious inspiration from everybody’s favorite ATLiens - Outkast’s „Get Up“ - MadD3E and Maydien create an audio guide for „How to regain motivation“ for 2018. The fire you need to create substantial art.  

While being clearly inspired by the likes of J.Cole and Logic, Dutch singer/rapper Maydien builds a chronological narration in his very own style. A mixture of singing and rapping. Seemingly endless nuances of Soul and Funk that are inherit in  Maydien’s performance combine perfectly with MadD3E’s swinging Funk chords and basslines. The song is filled with positivity. A lust to create. 
A manifestation to better days.

Pomrad a.k.a. Adriaan Van de Velde has lots of it in his colourful trickster bag. Just check out the title track of his album: its beats chug like the wheels of a locomotive and electrifying synth solos guarantee the best brain freeze you’ve ever felt.
 
Pomrad's very first eps were cool calling cards that made a couple of heads turn. After his first solo performances, Pomrad dropped the jack-of-all-trades shtick and assembled a full-blooded band, with a drummer and a second keyboard player beefing up his signature sound. Together they’re a party squad with a couple of nifty tricks up their sleeves. You want some cosmic funk, Herbie Hancock style? You got it..
 
Now, Knights tries to exceed expectations and transcends the aforementioned comparisons, taking a leap into the unknown. Pomrad clearly has found his own voice. What's next? Well, dreaming up a fantasy world where his musical creations can roam free, apparently.
