NGI EP - Chord Cougar (Mega Man X Soundfont)

This is a little preview of a small RPG soundtrack that I composed back in September. :) It's for a game called Grinsia, which was originally a mobile game with different music, but is being re-released by Nicalis for Steam and 3DS eShop with my own soundtrack. I'm super excited to finally have music in an actual JRPG!

The soundtrack will be available on Bandcamp on May 8th, and maybe some other places as well.

This is a small soundtrack that I wrote for the amazing Ludum Dare game Scubabear, by Richard Lems 'Rilem' and Diane de Wilde 'Ziryf'. Everything was made in only 3 days!

The soundtrack is actually just one piece of music, with different arrangements that fade in and out dynamically as you jump in and out of the water, or dive deep below the surface.

If you haven't already tried out ScubaBear, I highly recommend that you do. It's a fun, charming little game, and I promise you'll be amazed that it was made in such a short time!

Grinsia - Pyramid / Dungeons (SNES-style)

I wrote this a few months ago for a cancelled game called Booster Bunny, about a badass little bunny in a rocket pack. I was aiming for a fun arcade style track, in the spirit of Turtles in Time, which is one of my favourite SNES soundtracks. Enjoy!

This is a preview of a soundtrack that I'll (hopefully!) be writing for a cool Mario Kart style game called Super World Karts.

This track will probably change a bit (it will definitely be longer), but it should give a general idea of the style I plan to take with the soundtrack. :)

Since it was a jam game, I didn't have long to spend on this (probably would have made it longer otherwise), but I'm happy with how it fit with the game. I tried to give it an "unstable" sound by varying the tempo and timing the notes in the melody so that they land at slightly unusual times.

Cuckoo Castle is a mini Gameboy-style metroidvania, created for GBJam4 by Richard Lems and Diane de Wilde. Everything in the game was created in only 11 days!

All the audio was done in Famitracker, following most of the limitations of the Gameboy sound chip (I cheated in a few places, like the panning).

Metroidvania Game Kit Soundtrack

I wrote these songs in the style of my favorite RPG soundtracks of the SNES era (with many other video game influences). The original plan was to create a full length album of songs in this style--sort of a mini-RPG soundtrack--which I may still do eventually, but it's taken a lot longer than expected (mostly due to lack of inspiration; it's hard to write music for a non-existent game with no art and no story :P).
