She Comes She Goes

This is our attempt at lazy songwriting. Written by googling the top 10 most ridiculous conspiracy theories, this track gets weirdly philosophical and relates to a deep mistrust of the media and how the gov has treated the entertainment industry. This isn’t an anti-vax song, this isn’t a pro-vax song, this is a backyard-vax song. Believe whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Flat Earth Society

Coober Pedy is a foot-swinging track about needing a guide for better living and leaving the hustle and bustle of city living for somewhere quieter. With repeating lyrics of 'I can get land, for ten grand, in Coober Pedy' the theme of the track highlights the internal struggle for young people to settle down in the cities they were brought up in, as they become overcrowded and unaffordable.

Based in the sleepy southern suburbs of South Australia, Pool Toy is a democratically run 5 piece band, making primarily alternative rock songs and anything in between. Continuously pigeon-holed as a Surf Rock band, Pool Toy are firm believers that sports and music genres should remain separate. Although, if we had to choose, we would consider ourselves Soccer Rock. 

The boys have released a handful of songs and Delcan Byrne even managed to give their first single 'Puddles' a 3/5 star review, FOR FREE! Their song 'She Comes She Goes' has also been featured in local surf films and a promotional video for the surfing apparel brand FCS. 

Pool Toy's music is energetic and mostly consists of punchy drum beats and lengthy guitar solos exciting enough to make anyone want to go dribble down the wing and hit it top bins. There is also a side of the band that creates laidback reverb-induced riffs that are perfect for listening to lazily at the beach. Main influences include Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Beach Fossils, DIIV, Peter Bibby, and Pist Idiots. 

Our grand plan is to release two EP's in the coming year, which have mostly been recorded. In the current unpredictable climate of planet earth under the restrictions of the pandemic, we are just waiting for the right time to drop new music, for as many people as possible to hear.
