After surging into the spotlight in 2022 via a series of high-profile collaborations alongside Lee Foss, CID, and Martin Ikin, UK-based DJ/producer Joshwa is looking to keep things moving for 2023 as an artist at the top end of Beatport’s top-selling tech house charts. Up next, late March brings a milestone release as he steps out on Hot Creations for the first time, delivering a pair of heavily requested and lively productions across his ‘Bass Go Boom’ EP.

West-coast US DJ/producer Jackie Hollander makes a splash on her Street Tracks debut with a pristine three-track medley of varying flavours. Racking up serious mileage as a DJ playing numerous shows at prestigious venues across California and Las Vegas, Hollander now looks to expand on her current discography, which already features releases on the likes of Fantastic Voyage and Nervous Records.

Hollander gives a little insight to her new release; “this EP is a representation of who I am as an artist; I am not following a plan or a set path, I’m just making music that I connect with. Each of these songs are a different style yet they fit together into a complete project that takes you on a journey. The idea behind the project is that we are all connected. On the dance floor we become one and our common love of music is an unspoken language we all feel.”

The unique pairing of Dutch-Caribbean duo Shermanology and UK collective Rudimental reunite for the explosive DFTD release ‘Calling / Like A Train’. Hot on the trail of their seminal Defected collaboration with Todd Edwards, ‘Rain’, Shermanology and Rudimental’s working relationship and now friendship has resulted in a series of club-ready records born from love. The two artists have had similar success stories, maintaining credibility in underground circles with both acts achieving crossover success, including BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World for Rudimental’s ‘Never Let You Go’ and Shermanology’s ‘Boyz N Da Club’. NYC underground powerhouse Joeski serves up more superb house sounds on his own Maya Records, this time featuring Aaron Burnett.

Brooklyn Horn Hustle feat. Aaron Burnett is a low slung groove with elastic bass and patty-starting brass. The trumpet plays nimble and conversational melodies with a hint of jazzy Latin flair while the drums roll on down low. Organic percussion and atmospheric vocals all add further spice to what is a charming new sound.

Joeski leads from the front once more with this latest jam.

San Diego born, the community of the dance floor surrounded me at a younger age.
It was normal for house parties to have decks at the command of the music selection. It took me a year or two of observing  the rekordbox patterns until finally I purchased my own controller in the Spring of 2017. 

From here, I was hooked. To be a good DJ you of course need skills, but what I have learned over the last 8 years is that if you want to be a respected DJ, you need tracks. My knowledge of artists stemmed from attending festivals and shows to expand my horizons in the various sub genres of dance music. I enjoy them all and keep an open mind! However, I realized there were simply too many DJs and labels to keep track of new music. I hated the feeling of coming across a banger track and realizing it was released months ago. I wished there was a page that I could follow to give me release updates. In the Summer of 2020, H&TR was born. 

I am now addicted to digging deeper and deeper into the underground to discover every new release across house and techno, and have been doing it for over 150 weeks straight now. I am committed to this mission not only for myself and DJ ability, but I have a passion for sharing good music with others. I love introducing a new artist to a friend that I think they would enjoy. Not just this, but what an incredible feeling it is to “ID” a track when others send me a video. Hence a friend coining me the name “DavID”
