The latest edition of Nina Mix is presented by Los Angeles-based DJ Bianca Lexis (@biancalexis). Over the past five years, Lexis’ NTS Radio show Panorama Heaven has solidified her as a selector’s selector and a must-see DJ. Her unique style frequently explores the realms of rare and elusive Italo disco, off-the-beaten-path house, and more recently, the late ’90s and early 2000s chillout and electronica.

Beyond her impeccable musical discernment, Lexis continues to uncover and champion new and forgotten musical treasures. Bianca's mix for Nina offers a distinctive blend of loungey, trip-hop-infused tracks—a sound both familiar and endlessly intriguing. In her own words, ‘a mix of '90s-heavy dream pop & downtempo :)’.

The„Everything´s Gonna Be Alright EP“ is the third appearance of „Alex Connors & Hardy Heller“ on „Plastic City“. 

Both are already a few days involved in the electronic music movement. „Alex Connors“ for example as part of the quiet sucessfull „Electro Dance Punk Band“ named “Durchblick“. The roots of „Hardy Heller“ are located somewhere in the early nineties with releases on„Hope Records“, „Kiddaz.FM“, „Global Underground“, „Black Hole“,Positiva / EMI, Warner Brothers and others like his own imprint „Ohral Recordings“ on which „Alex Connors & Hardy Heller“ released a lot of their productions lately.

With  the three track EP „Everything´s Gonna Be Alright“ they return to Plastic City. The opening and title track oft he EP named „Everything´s Gonna Be Alright“ contains some negro smoking sounding female vocal. We decided to release first the „Original Version“ as it moves and grooves in a very suitable way. Other versions will be released quiet sure in the future. Beside oft hat you´ll find two more tracks: „Cause N Effect“ and „Streets Of Hettenleidelheim“.

🇿🇦 L'émission de cette semaine est un peu spéciale : nous vous proposons d'aller en Afrique du Sud ! L'histoire de notre collectif est très liée à ce pays : depuis notre première soirée en 2013, nous mettons à l'honneur des artistes sud-africains tels que MO LAUDI, Aero Manyelo, BATUK MUSIC, Esa et prochainement Spoek Mathambo pour La Ganzoü du 17 novembre !

Il faudrait bien évidemment plusieurs émissions pour présenter l'immensité et la diversité du patrimoine musical sud-africain. Pour cette raison, nous avons décidé de consacrer l'émission d'aujourd'hui à une période particulière de la musique sud-africaine : les années 80 et 90 ! Marquées par l'apartheid et les nombreux traumatismes qu'il laisse derrière lui, les années 80-90 n'en restent pas moins d'une très grande richesse : préparez-vous donc pour 2h de boogie, bubblegum et bien sûr kwaito ! Attention, c'est cheesy et absolument irrésistible ;)
