Folic State's music explores the tension between light and dark, formulating expansive soundscapes among warm, driving percussion. In late 2019 he was handpicked by techno icon Dubfire as one of the finalists of the SCI+TEC mentoring competition. Over the years, his sound has reached the epitome of abstract sophistication. The Ep is a package of four smashing originals and three remixes. On remix duties, we would like to welcome Damien Fisher with a minimal monster. The second remixer is no other than our psychedelic specialist Dr. Breger who drops another bomb. Last but not least, our chef Ash Roy spins out a trippy story. 2015 saw Stephan Bodzin release his second full length, “Powers of Ten”, as well as a new single on DJ Tennis’ and Tale of Us’ taste making label Life and Death. The album is another magical piece of work that focuses on melody and rhythm, on fat bass and vivid sound design and is a truly captivating journey through the mind, music, body and soul of one of dance music’s truly modern greats. After its release, a great team of modern music makers was enlisted to remix tracks from it: Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan-Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more all contributed to what is an essential collection. With a remix of ‘Sleepless’, a Pan-Pot track from their latest album, Stephan Bodzin closed the latest chapter of 2015 in what has been an exhilarating musical journey in his capable and creative hands.

Popof Dancing moon

Senso Sounds is Oliver Huntemann's label for underground dance music, based out of Hamburg and already racking up an enviable back catalogue of releases. Kickstarting a new series of EPs with new exclusive tracks from different artists, Senso Sounds Level 01 dives right into the thick of it with four brand new killer tracks from the roster.

First up is the man himself Oliver Huntemann, dropping 'Kamikaze' for our listening pleasure. Techy and funky, the track builds and builds over seven and a half minutes - a driving groove pro- pelled by urgent drums, a swirling bassline and a think, mutating synth line. A suitably epic way to kick off the series.

Next up, Brazilian techno don Victor Ruiz teams up with danish Noir for 'I Am' - a pulsating, heady slice of techno for the floor with conjuring vocals by Cari Golden.

Venetian veteran Veerus provides 'Mind Awake, Body Asleep' - a hymn to the techno lifestyle wrapped in a dark and punishing groove. 

Rounding off the EP is Julian Wassermann with 'Neurose' - the much-rated German producer staying on message with another deep, growling tech bomb for the early hours.

Senso Sounds collects together a fantastic remix package of Oliver Huntemann’s 'Propaganda' album. The longplayer dropped last year to much fanfare, richly deserving the praise for one of the longest serving techno dons in the European
scene.

First up is Brazilian DJ and producer Alex Stein. His take on 'Taktik' is a suitably muscular approach, building the track around a thick, urgent pulse and proving ample space for tension-building slices of metallic FX.

Argentinian Shall Ocin flips 'Egoist', bringing about very different results - a euphoric peak time burner with huge amounts of
energy.

Senso mainstay Carlo Ruetz takes on 'Der schwarze Kanal', and digs into an early groove that never lets up, building slowly over the tracks entirety.

Hamburg's own Hatzler brings his special talents to 'Absurd', and delivers a slick, powerful cut that unfolds over almost eight minutes of joy.

Canadian Minimal Techno producer Marc Houle turns his attention to 'Poltergeist', flipping the original into a streamlined slice of robo-techno, sharp as a knife with shards of percussion and killer synth stabs.

'Rotlicht' is presented in its full glory and joined by a tough-as-nails remix by Raxon. The Egyptian DJ and producer, born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, locks deep into the groove and adds his own delicious spin to the track.

'Trick17' is giving an Alternative Remix by Senso regular Distale. The Berlin resident provides a Beatport exclusive mix with more of a driving groove, and brings the arpeggiated synths to the fore.

Taktik (Alex Stein Remix)

Senso’s Oliver Huntemann revisits one of his own personal classics and breathes new life into it via a superb remix package. Tranquilizer was originally released on his 2011 album Paranoia, and is presented here in its original form to fully wet the appetite for the various remixes on offer. Tranquilizer 2.0 is Huntemann’s own re-interpretation of the track - pulling it into 2019 with a spacy sheen that might just highlight his development as a producer. German duo Hidden Empire dive right in with their rework - a tight, slick remix that goes for the jugular via a massive breakdown in the middle. Rising Serbian DJ and producer Ilija Djokovic also contributes a hard-as-nails remix that adds some sharp, precise percussion elements and draws out the tension beautifully. Last but not least, Christian Craken drops his mix, which is a taut, techno workout fitting perfectly with the atmosphere of the original.
