What Is Love - Lexa Blue

LSD or lysergic acid diethylamide is synthesized from lysergic acid that is found in ergot, a fungus which grows on rye and other grains. It was discovered in 1938 and presently is one of the most powerful mood-altering chemical. LSD produces delusions and visual hallucinations that distort the user’s sense of time and identity if consumed in a sufficiently large dose. It is sold as a liquid usually packed in small bottles or applied to blotter paper, sugar cubes, gelatin squares, and tablets. William Leonard Pickard is convicted to be the largest manufacturer of LSD in the history since, from 1991 to 2000, 90% LSD in the world was produced by him alone.

Unlike alcohol, cigarettes and cannabis, LSD is non-toxic and doesn’t damage your body. Though it has earned a street name as destructive and corrosive as an acid, the fact is there has never been a single case of LSD overdose despite it being legal and easily available during the 60’s. MKULTRA was a project led by US Army and the CIA during the 50s and 60s in an attempt to find a drug to control mind. At a point of time the project received 8% of CIA’s budget. Most of the researches were done on LSD.
‘Merry pranksters’ was a group led by Ken Kasey who was one among the thousand test subjects of MKULTRA project. Ken with his friends stole large amount of LSD and drove across the United States in a psychedelically colored bus. The group gave LSD to anyone who wanted to try it.

This is probably why you cannot seem to think of anyone else when you have fallen in love. A key hormone released during sex is oxytocin, also known as the ‘cuddle hormone’. This lowers our defences and makes us trust people more. It’s also the key to bonding, as it increases levels of empathy. Women produce more of this hormone, although it’s not clear why, and this means they are more likely to let their guard down and fall in love with a man after sex.

Love hotels (ラブホテル, also known as boutique or fashion hotels) are hotels that offer double rooms for short periods of time. Typically you can rent a room for a minimum of one to three hours during the day, called a "rest", or for the whole night, called a "stay", which usually starts after 10 pm. As the name suggests, the main purpose of love hotels is to provide couples with a room to spend some undisturbed time together.

The rooms are equipped according to their purpose with large double beds, a television offering erotic programs, a nice bathroom, etc. Some love hotels are themed and may come properly equipped or with items such as costumes available to rent or buy.

Love hotels are found all over Japan, and they can usually be recognized because of their extravagant looks and/or their signs advertising "rest" and "stay" rates. In large cities there are love hotel districts, such as Tokyo's Love Hotel Hill in Shibuya, where many different hotels can be found together. In smaller cities they are often found near major roads on the city outskirts.

A stay overnight costs around 8000 yen. The room fee for a rest during the day is usually a little bit lower (3000 to 7000 yen), while on weekends, the prices can be much higher. The reception at a love hotel is very anonymous. The guests usually choose a room on a board by pressing a button and then pay at a little window where the receptionist behind cannot be seen.
