Mellified

A medium tempo groove on sequenced drums and bass accompanied by jarring guitar, eerie synths and layers of Brodie's demented vocal growl.

Lyrically it is a comparison of the human species to the slimy bacterial build-up found in pipes, otherwise known as Biofilm.

Carnivorous Me is a deeply personal song about substance abuse and the ever-shifting perspective of the addict. It is heavily inspired by Brodie’s own journey with drugs and alcohol, and shifts tone throughout to reflect his path back to sobriety. As the title suggests, the lyrics are written within the context of a metaphor, namely a carnivorous diet. 

Musically, Carnivorous Me blends the existing Alternative Rock style of Brodie’s previous releases with elements of Industrial, Hip-hop and Hardcore Punk, for a sound that is relentlessly dark and often aggressive.

Rumplestiltskin is, as the name suggests, a retelling of the classic children's fairy tale. 

Mixing rap vocals with a groovy four piece instrumentation, it's a quirky little adaptation for the modern age.

Red is a musical adaptation of the story of Little Red Riding Hood, told from the perspective of the Big Bad Wolf. 

Musically, it centres around a calm mid-tempo groove with break-out choruses full of fury. The lyrics attempt to compare the Wolf's mindset to that of a psychotic stalker, prone to flights of animalistic rage.

Red is a musical adaptation of the story of King Midas.

Musically, it centres around a calm mid-tempo groove with layers of guitar and gentle vocals.

Trans-Orbital is the latest single by Porcine Assembly Line.

Musically, it centres around a repeating bass groove. The drums also keep to a (mostly) consistent theme, with slight variation between sections. The layered guitars and synths provide some texture/flavour while the out-of-phase vocals carry the core melody of the song.

The lyrics are quite personal, focusing on Brodie's experiences with anti-depressants and comparing them to a trans-orbital lobotomy.
