These songs were recorded somewhere between 1920 and 1930 by my grandfather Cecil Clarke Ward and his first wife (not my Grandmother) Esther. My Grandad died in 1960 when my mother was only 6 so none of us really had a chance to know least of all me. I wasn't born until 1972. But these tracks have surfaced on the web and we have no idea how or where they originated from but we would love to know. The original recordings were quit noisy and hard to listen to so I cleaned them up as best I could and tried to make them a little more enjoyable. So here you are "Hilo March and Wailana from Cecil and Esther Ward! (For all you Tom Waits fans... go ahead and sing Goodnight Irene along with Wailana!)
