Next up we welcome two artists that we love very much here at Berlin-Brighton. Not only that, these two connoisseurs also run a label that we have been playing tracks from for quite some time on our radio shows and events.

Meet Sven & Sven, aka the Pornbugs! They started their common career in various clubs and radio stations in Germany in 2000, and since 2005 they perform mainly as Pornbugs. Pornbugs is the deep-/minimal house project of the guys, featurng a unique dancefloor sound. Their international gigs have lead them to Cape Town, New York, London, Barcelona, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Santiago, San Francisco and Washington, to name a few.

In January 2006 they founded their label Bondage-Music as a platform for ambitious releases of deep-/techhouse. The label has made a huge impact in the electronic scene since then, with releases by talented artistssuch as Mihai Popoviciu, Markus Homm, NTFO, Super Flu, Sascha Dive, Gorge, El Mundo, Frink, Philip Gonzales, Tuccillo and many many more. We caught up with the two Svens to find out about their journey and what's coming up in 2024.

Pornbugs – The Lifeblood of Electronic Music

Since their founding in 2005, the DJ and producer duo Pornbugs has made a name for themselves by creating captivating music for the dance floor. With a unique blend of deep house, tech house, and minimal house, enriched with soulful grooves, they create an immersive experience that touches people's hearts.
Pornbugs stand for authenticity and quality – their raw, building sound reflects these values. 

Their music connects people on a deep emotional level and invites them to dive into a world full of passion and energy. With their relentless drive to push musical boundaries and constantly evolve their sound, they have quickly secured a prominent place in the global music scene.

Over the past two decades, Pornbugs have performed in renowned clubs and at festivals across North and South America as well as Europe, including legendary cities like New York, São Paulo, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Medellín, Bogotá, Montreal, London, and Barcelona. Even today, their distinctive sound captivates audiences at the "Bondage Music Label Nights" at various locations in Germany and during their Boats Parties in Prague.

In 2006, they founded their own label Bondage Music to not only release their own music but also provide a platform for other talented artists. The label has since established itself as a significant force in global electronic dance music, releasing works from artists such as Markus Homm, Dilby, James Dexter, Sascha Dive, and Mihai Popoviciu.

In 2023, Pornbugs drew attention with new releases: They kicked off the year with an EP on the Acker Dub label in January, followed by an EP on Klauselle Label and a collaborative track with Cristina Lazic on Bondage Music in February. Other projects included an EP on Sublease Music – a sublabel of Steve Bug's Pokerflat – as well as remixes for Steve Kelley and Sascha Dive. In November 2023, an EP in collaboration with Frink was released, complemented by remixes from Miroloja and Roger Gerressen – all on vinyl through their Bondage Music label.

In 2024, Pornbugs also released several tracks on their own Bondage Music label as well as on Sudbeat, Lazic, Acker Dub, and Klaus:elle.
