I was living in San Diego at the time, and hadn't seen Nils in a few years.  It was great to catch up with everyone in the bus outside the club, and the show was recorded with their blessing.  This excerpt includes a bit of the Puppet Show, segueing directly into "The Twitch" and "The Twinge."  Opening band was Giant Ant Farm, and several of the Idiots refer to them throughout the set.  The whole show ran about an hour and twenty minutes, and I'd been asked several years after the recording was made to not post the entire performance…

This was the first part of a performance Noah Mickens' ensemble Nequauquam Vacuum did live on KBOO Radio to lead off their Dada/Surrealist Festival in the evening of August 28, 2008. We performed two or three sets the following day at Last Thursday on Alberta as well. I remember wondering who these lovely young ladies were, gracing us with their presence in the studio... :)

The purpose of the PDX Collectif is to provide examples of the beauty in the Portland, Oregon underground music scene.
