I initially released this album purely vinyl to web 3.0 as an experiment because AI generated works have been and continue to be challenged in the realm of copyright, even when it features AI generated works based on your own personal data (not anyone else's).  Here we are in 2024, and at the very least I think every artist should have full agency over their own data - what happens with it, to it, and be able to consent and object our data being used for AI generative models.  

This album is my first research-based album of first training an hour recording of my vocals as a dataset with Dadabots' custom SampleRNN model.  That generated 10 hours of weird vocals which I co-wrote lyrics and melodies with + tried the same experiment with hi-hats that produced less interesting results because the sonic frequency spectrum was limited.  Some of the rhythmic patterns were kinda interesting.  

And because this release wasn't on traditional platforms e.g. Apple, Spotify, etc., some parts of 'music industry' don't see it as an 'official album'.  I self-released with twelve x twelve on vinyl + web 3.0 in Dec 2022 and it distributed in 'web 2.0' 8 Mar 2024.  

This album marks a moment in history for me, of all the experimental research I did from 2019-2022 with both AI for audio and visuals. It's the era creative AI happened in an enormous way that brought artists and creatives to participate in public discourse about AI.  It marks the beginning of an era humanity began to feel more tangible experiences of AI than speculations based on sci-fi films, TV shows, and corporations.  Open source and open access creating a deeper, overwhelming, and richer dialogue about what it means to be human in a data-driven world.
