27 Unwind

Poseidon was formed in February 1992 by myself Mike L and my buddy Rikki V. We met in a study hall and became pals over our love for music and while I had already been in one band in 1989/90(Black Rose), this would be Rikki's first. I wrote hundreds of songs and we recorded a lot. Band members were a constant revolving door in the band. 
We toured heavily in the NY/NJ/CT area from ‘92-98.
Rikki left the band in 2002 and over the decades the continued band went through many changes both musically and with the lineup of the band. We started out as a hard rock band with a handful of love ballads and fan favorites but quickly evolved to grunge/alternative to fit the changing music landscape. Today, only myself Michael Lombardi still exists as an original member. 
1999-2002 I alone coffee shops & music festivals in NY with stripped down versions of my songs mainly in an acoustic setting or just with a drum accompaniment. 
2002-2004 I recorded two trance albums under the band name, Trance It!
2005 I reformed the band briefly for one year and recorded the album, Tears In The Rain”. 
2010 under the name PhantomXBlue released two singles, "Fire" and "Sherry" that are still on iTunes. 
I also digitized the entire Poseidon library and what lays before me is 60 albums, 740 tracks and about a quarter of that music is here on SoundCloud. 
2011 I wrote/recorded “Alec’s Song” for my 14-month old son whom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and ultimately he beat it still to this day!
2018 I wrote/recorded three songs under the band name, Pisser Cats. 
July 2023 I wrote/recorded “Cold Arizona Winter”. 
June 2025 I created a new sub-genre of country music, “DoomGrass” which is played on a banjo in drop D. 
June 18, 2025 re-released “Helocast” as the first DoomGrass track. 
I’m preparing to return in a new form in 2025/26. Just you wait and see!
