In December of last year one of my sons became very ill and spent a week in the hospital on a ventilator (not covid). He is one and a half years old and this was the second time in his life he was being kept alive by a machine. 

I wrote this song around a sample of the ventilator from his room. It’s the first thing you’ll hear when you listen to it. This song has become a way for me to cope and process and face some things I didn't know I needed to face. I'm afraid, because I have so much to lose now. I'm worried, because there is so much I can't control. I'm thankful for everything I have. 

The ventilator is a lifeline and a tight rope. It's both a literal and metaphorical symbol representing a hope of things getting better while simultaneously being a constant reminder of how close we are to absolute and utter destruction. 

Call someone you care about today and tell them you love them. That's something we can control and it will make us all feel better ❤️
