"Epoch Dawn" is a musical journey set in the land of fantasy and make-believe. Stepping out of the shadows of the past, a bright orange light hits your eyes as you slowly gaze up into the sky for the first time. Vibrant colors melt into the majestic landscape with large rugged mountains and eagle-talon-like rocks coming out of the sea of evergreens leaves you in nothing short of complete awe. Morning bells sound in the distance harmonized by the serenity of nature with a wondrous chilling breeze from the east heightens this surrealistic experience.

"Epoch Dawn" represents a new chapter, a clean slate, and a new beginning full of adventure. Each song is carefully arranged and crafted to maximize drive, power, dynamics, and emotion with meticulous use of the acoustic orchestra, percussion, choirs, and electronica to create something new, fresh, and epic. "Epoch Dawn" is made to inspire listeners with hopes that the listener will experience the music at the same level as when the songs were written.

One of the things you become aware of, when creating on a daily basis, is the way that stories are magnified and ignored.  Narratives are constructed and perceptions influenced. improvising on the piano with a certain feel and mood in mind. By playing
freely on the piano I try to capture a certain feel or mood. Whenever a chord
progression or melody makes an emotional impression on me, I would pursue
it and immediately start fleshing out that initial idea into more of a complete
arrangement. After that I would start thinking about instrumentation and orchestration." - Jo Blankenburg
