BIO
Sigma Algebra (Barcelona, 1972) is the project of the Spanish composer and producer Electro Eduardo Jimenez, based in Granada. He became interested in electronic music at the end of the 80's and it was in the 90's when he developed his facet as a DJ. Influenced by the labels Warp, Rephlex, Ninja Tune, Scan Records among others, he frequented the underground scene of Barcelona. Later, in 2000 he developed his musical activity in Valencia where he actively participated in different projects related to music. Influenced by all the current that changed the electronic music, he began to produce recently under the pseudonym of Sigma_ALgebra. His passion for Electro, IDM and Techno is evident in his mixes, and even more in his productions. Complex, mysterious and abstract music for those who like to dive close to the frontiers of electronic subgenres. He has released on the labels Digital Distortions, Diffuse Reality, Anti Gravity Device, Section27, Urban Connections, Elektrodos and finally on the label Tensor Norm of which he is founder together with Wavelet.

Shortly after making his debut on International Deejay Gigolos back in 2000, Poladroïd ventured on his own to establish Roulette Rekordz. He then toured Europe performing in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, London, Amsterdam, Prague, Paris... and predominantly in Belgium alongside artists like ADULT., Ectomorph, Dopplereffekt, Luke Eargoggle, MANASYt, Zerkalo and numerous local talents where he has gained a reputation for his dynamic and energetic live performances, delivering a unique blend of electro with an unwavering intensity that has remained consistent throughout the years.

Around 2008 the label ceased its activities and shortly after Poladroïd took a break from his musical pursuits. However, he resurfaced in 2019, simultaneously relaunching his label. Since then he has released music on Science Cult, Detriti, Microm, Applied Research, Meta Moto, Diffuse Reality, Patterned Media... In addition to his work as Poladroïd, he has also released albums as the Xenomorph Jazz Ensemble and under the Cercle Futur moniker.

Second Storey is the artistic vessel of Alec Storey, a Berlin-based producer whose roots trace back to Norfolk’s free-party scene — the same fertile ground that gave rise to Bloc Weekender. Emerging first as Al Tourettes with early releases on [k]rack-troni[k], he went on to record for Apple Pips, Sneaker Social Club, Aus Music, and Schmorgasbord, while building a formidable creative partnership with Appleblim. Together, the duo remixed Planetary Assault Systems, Axel Boman, Underworld, and Raudive, before launching the ALSO project. Their live debut at Space Ibiza set the tone for a string of European performances and culminated in a full-length album on R&S Records.

Second Storey’s solo trajectory is no less ambitious. Commissioned for the soundtrack to Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, he later inaugurated his Second Storey alias with the Houndstooth-released debut album Double Divide. Preceding EPs on Nervous Horizon and Austria’s Trust laid the groundwork for his second LP, Lucid Locations, a cerebral distillation of his electro-techno-funk aesthetic. The subsequent remix collection, Lucid Interpretations, featured contributions from Nastia, Radioactive Man, The Exaltics, Machine Woman, and 214. His catalog has since expanded with releases on Clone’s Frustrated Funk, Varvet, Natural Selection, Pudel Produkt, Mechatronica, and most recently, No Static Automatic.

Stylistically, Second Storey’s compass is guided by funk’s psychedelic backbone, channeled through electro, techno, IDM, UK bass, and other rhythmic mutations. Whether collaborating, remixing, or commanding the stage with live drum pad intensity, his output remains singular: elastic, unpredictable, and bursting with energy.
