Planet X Joins forces with the X/OZ label with a special split release of LDS.

LDS takes no prisoners on this blistering new techno workout for Exos' Planet X & X/OZ labels. Opener 'Karplusfunk' is a 100-mile-an-hour assault with caustic hit hats over clipped, kinetic drums. Manic synth lines ride up and down and the energy levels are off the chart. 'Mvoper FM' is slightly paired back but is still warp-speed icy techno to take dance floors on a white knuckle ride through the cosmos. The Exos remix of 'LD5' has snares that sound like sheet metal blowing in the wind while solar clouds peel off the groove. The flip side offers two more cuts of head-melting techno experimentalism.

Alfred's visit to Viktor's hometown of Utrecht resulted in the creation of a new EP in which rhythm and colour meet. The entire piece is infused with the 90s mood, including the timeless elements of that era projected through the distinctive approach of both artists. PJM is highly recommended for fans of 90s breakbeat and forward-thinking electronic music that combines nostalgia and innovation.

Once the door is opened, the listener is saluted by "Wuwuwu," a liquid breakbeat meditation with a touch of yesterday's melancholia. "Nnt," "No Tomorrow," and "Sss'' are of a different nature: mischievous and antsy. They utilize vinyl backspins and scratches, old-school drum loops and vocal exclamations in a slightly accelerated tempo, making them precarious dancefloor nukes that are sure to set the crowd ablaze.

Next up on summerpup is the debut release and full-length album from Berlin-based artist xupid. Tripped out diverse techno-bass hybrids, cuts and grooves. 

xupid and I first met in Berlin in 2013 and have been exchanging tracks ever since, many of which have been my secret dj weapons over the years. I'm really happy to share these with you now, as xupid's first full release. 

The album is released on 2x12" Vinyl with a beautiful printed sleeve. The silver pieces depicting 'xupid' on the cover and inner labels are individual pieces of silver jewelry metalwork, each designed, handcrafted and photographed by NYC-based artist Sam Shin.
