positron goes vintage sound. With our analog vintage setup, we will remix some songs with a unique instrument setup. So we will use only “VERMONA” Instuments with some additional effects. We are excited what will be the result. Some instruments were build end of the 70s in the GDR.

We played the Vermona E-Piano, Vermona Piano Strings, Vermona Formation 1 and drumsamples from Vermona DRM MK1 from 2002.

For this little album we worked mostly analog. All instruments was played live without MIDI. To get an old sound, we mixed the tracks over an analog Dynacord mixing console from 1985. Some instruments we recorded over a Vermona mixing console 1222 from the early 80s. The final signal goes thru a tube preamp, some effects and finally to an TELEFUNKEN Magnethophon from 1972.

This is one of the rare Coversongs which positron made. It was only for fun in 2006 or 2007. Positron never performed this song live.

Positron „Hold my hand“ changed into 432 Hz. Why? Since the 50s, music is tuned on 440 Hz (middle A tone). Before it was tuned on 432 Hz (inkluding tibetan singing bowls and gregorian music). Search for “432 Hz, 440 Hz”.

So it is a fantastic electronic track. :: The video contains no content, allowing the images and the story to unfold in your mind. Everyone will have a different story. "Black & White." It's a single from the band's upcoming album. It's been a long time since they released new material. The band spent a long time thinking about how to present this new song to the audience. Ultimately, two fundamental things came to light that completely contradict today's current trends.

The song "Black & White" dates back to an early period in the band's history and was never fully recorded in the studio. After the vocal recordings, the song sat in a drawer for a long time. However, the song's "vibe" is very distinctive and hypnotic, which eventually led to a rather long version of the song, which also included a long instrumental piece.

So, the decision was made to release the song in this long version. It's the "radio edit," so to speak. The version is over seven minutes long.
